Thomas E Clark

They have never contacted us back about our concerns.

We have had a very bad experience with Thomas E. Clark. We had used them a year ago to solve a plumbing problem and called them back . They came back twice, never fixed the problem, complained about the work that had been done the year before without realizing they had done it, never tried to find the cause of our problem and even replaced our toilet in such a way that it leaked and we needed to call another plumber to come back to fix that leak. What is the worst part of this tale is that we wrote them a 3 page letter, sent them a message on the contact the owners on the website and also talked with the Live Associate Chat on line through the website. They have never contacted us back about our concerns

  1. Good Service

I first reached out to Thomas E Clark on a Monday morning when I realized that my HVAC unit was no longer blowing cold air. I was contacted shortly thereafter by Mike, who walked me through a few basic troubleshooting tips to try to avoid having to make an unnecessary service call (and just as importantly, save me money!). Unfortunately his tips didn’t resolve my issue, so we scheduled a technician to inspect my HVAC unit that Thursday from 12-4.

When the technician arrived on Thursday afternoon, he took a quick look at my exterior HVAC unit and knew almost immediately that I had a blown capacitor. Sure enough, after replacing the part, my A/C vents began blowing cold air. The price seemed entirely reasonable (just over $200), and I never felt like he was trying to sell something to me that I didn’t need (an experience I’ve had with other HVAC technicians).

This was exactly how I think all HVAC service calls should go, but are unfortunately all too rare. My only complaint was that the technician arrived towards the end of the 12-4pm window, but he was still ultimately within that window, so I can’t complain that much. Bottom line: if you’re having trouble with your A/C, don’t hesitate to reach out to these guys…they’re great.

  2. Will definitely utilize their services and recommend them going forward!!

Being in the Repair and Maintenance industry myself, I tend to hover over any and all techs who come into my home to perform work. I question what they are doing, I point things out, and I ensure they aren’t damaging my home. From the moment the tech Carlos arrived, we walked through all that was going on and needed, how my house was plumbed, where to find all the shut offs, breakers, etc.

Then I let him be. This was a first. But it is about trust and from the second he arrived, I could sense his professionalism, knowledge, and skill level. I offered him covers for the carpet, nope had his own and put them down to protect my floors and carpet. He cleaned up after himself, talked me through everything he did, and ensured the install was complete and professional.

From the President, Michael Hartman, who I scheduled the job with, to the text updates regarding scheduling, to the tech calling 45 mins prior to arrival, to the easy way to pay, and get my receipt. Will definitely utilize their services and recommend them going forward!!

  4. I have had nothing but fantastic experiences with them.

I have had nothing but fantastic experiences with them. They have replaced both of my AC units and in both cases it was the middle of summer so I needed it fixed FAST. They came out the following day, completed the job in a day and were very competitive on price. They always go above and beyond to get the job done- I would recommend them to anyone.

  5. Good Service

Thomas E Clark is my plumber. Period. Always responsive, always on time, always professional. They tell you upfront exactly what it will cost for repair, and their work is superior.

My family has used them since the mid-60s; now that I am a homeowner it’s good to know I have a plumber I can trust to do the job right!

  6. Very dissatisfied and feel as though I was rolled..

Used Clark since the 70. Called for a leaky faucet. Ed came and I was told I needed a new faucet and understood the leak would be fixed. The receipt for the $69 house call did not mention any additional charges for the leak. . After a week of mix ups Clark finally returned with he new faucets.

Then, at the site, I was told it would cost almost another $400 to fix the leak which was the original problem in addition to almost $800 for the new faucets. The “owner” Steve was not available, there was no one els to discuss it with and they said Steve would call???

  7. I would highly recommend them, and will be using them again!

I have used Thomas E. Clark for the last 9 years. The plumbers and technicians that have come out to my home have been professional and honest about my various problems in my home Disposal, AC issues, etc..Jason is an awesome tech, he always is prompt and friendly, he seems to know how to fix almost any problem I’m having. The admin team led by Mike H.

confirmed with me my appointment and made sure after my visit all my questions were answered and my problem was resolved. Edwin the plumber was great too he fixed my issue with my disposal and made sure the work area was clean after finishing the job. Very impressed and appreciative of the “above and beyond” customer service I have received. I would highly recommend them, and will be using them again!

  9. Not too shabby, but I'd go to jail if I tried to charge that much.

Technician came out on Saturday $104 “trip charge”. Problem was bad thermocouple on boiler ($15 part). They wanted $275 to replace. It took about 5 mins. When I questioned they agreed to charge “only” $200 + $104 trip charge.

Owner said this was due to the expertise and the skill to diagnose the problem. By my calculation this technician’s company made about $3190/hour on this job. Not too shabby, but I’d go to jail if I tried to charge that much. Maybe Thomas E Clark should be jailed too?!

  10. I am having the worst possible customer service experience with this company.

I am having the worst possible customer service experience with this company. Called Sunday evening with broken water heater; as of Thursday night I had neither a fixed water heater nor any information about when they might return.

They do not return phone calls after 4:30 p.m., plumbers who have arrived at our house have been unfriendly and apparently unable to diagnose or repair the water heater. I spoke with an owner of the company and still got lousy results. Pretty sure if I had begun somewhere else four days ago there would be hot water here now.

  11. very reasonable! Thomas E Clark is a top notch company!

They’re just a terrific A/C company as well as the only one we all rely on. After they did work for us we referred them to many family members. They put in a good system for my mom and dad and answered an insane amount of questions from them both.

I was concerned they were going to charge more as a result of the massive number of questions however thye quote stayed the same….very reasonable! Thomas E Clark is a top notch company!

  12. Couldn't asked for a better experience from a service company.

After we found Thomas E Clark ac service online and did a little research we decided to use them. They had very good reviews and were a family owned business, which we like.

Thomas E Clark was really affordable for us and extremely fast to arrive with the most polite service tech. My spouse and I strongly recommend Thomas E Clark ac service. Couldn’t asked for a better experience from a service company.

  13. The customer service was impeccable.

The customer service was impeccable. Everyone was friendly and professional. They were extremely responsive and were able to show up within 24 hours of my initial call. They even showed up on time a few days after a snow storm when the roads were difficult to navigate.

Their work was excellent. The experience would have been perfect, but the price was outrageous. They ended up charging $320 per hour for repairs that were more or less routine. (Their mantra is we charge by the job not by the hour, which means they completely overcharge) A+ on quality and service. Complete fail on price.

  14. Bad Service Provide

Scheduled them to come do an assessment of two thru-wall air conditioning units that I told them needed replaced. I stressed that I wanted an estimate done to replace the units, as one was broken completely and the other needed several repairs.

A technician came, told me I had two bad units, and needed to replace them (thanks so much), then provided me with a bill for $100 and said they’d contact me with an estimate and to schedule the replacement. Never heard from them again…enjoy your $100.

  15. Thomas E Clark Dont this Company use.

I agree with the rest of the reviews they are way overpriced and use the per job price to charge more on simple jobs.
