This review is for The Market Houses Estate Sale Services. One of the most unprofessional estate sale services Ive encountered. Theres no price list, so the prices are done based on a brief profiling of the consumer at the cash register. – I.e. what does this buyer look like theyre willing to pay – old lady clothing brands are priced out of their asses. $250 for stained St John pantsuits? No thank you. I could get a pristine set at Saks Off Fifth for that. I stood and watched the cashier price comperable items drastically differently based on who the purchaser was for 30 minutes.
Just like like the Estate sales run by Theives Market, i wouldnt come back to one of their estate sales unless you paid me to. Or they radically overhaul their pricing system. I fear that theyre only hurting the clients that they serve, by this subjective pricing system.
I think im going to stick with Four Sales, Caring Transitions, and Fairfax Page from now on. If i wanted to be paying nordstrom prices, id spend my saturdays at nordstrom instead of scouring overpriced estate sales.
