TexasLending

Terrible Customer Service

KEEP AWAY!!!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH TexasLending! Started off great.

Then my loan officer David Wesley stopped calling.

I spent two weeks trying to call him at his direct line and through their main line and it wasn’t until I check through my emails that I found his cell phone number.

I called him and he stated he had stopped working there and was at a different company.

I never got called by Texas Lending to continue my loan.

Well since they had already pulled my credit, I contacted Mr. Wesley’s former supervisor.

He placed me with another of his loan officers this time named Hunter Hilton.

Hunter went on and on about getting things done quickly and “killing it” on the time we are getting this done.

Then, ghost…. I could not find him for two weeks as well?!!!! I called his cell phone and he was apologetic advising me he was having relationship problems (which we have all had) and said he was going out of town but decided to stay to work my loan.

We get all the way to having disclosures sent to us and we take the purchase contract to the title company because he said he was locking in the rate and everything would be moving quickly.

That was on Monday….. never heard anything back from him or any of his processors.

I called him Tues and Weds and finally today (Thursday) he answers his line.

He then tells me something is not allowing him to lock in the rate.

I would need to get documentation on a loan that is showing up on my credit that belongs to my father?!

He said he was waiting for his supervisor to get back in the office because he was gone all week.

HE COULD HAVE CONTACTED ME AS SOON AS HE FOUND THIS OUT ON MONDAY!

Now I’ve spent money for title work, paid off some cards I didn’t need to unless I was closing on a loan and now he wants to try a different product to get me through.

There is no way in hell I am doing business with this company and I really caution everyone to stay away from them unless you want your credit pulled and score lowered and have them ducking your calls and emails.

  1. GAVIN REYNOLDS GHOSTED ME

I have used Texas Lending twice in the past and was pleased with the experience so I decided to go back for a home equity loan. I called and they said all the agents were busy and one of them would call me back. Gavin Reynolds did in fact call me back that evening 4/3 (Mon). He seemed really nice and explained my options. I told him I wanted to get the process done ASAP and he told me that if I took a lower amount, we could bypass an appraisal and save a weeks time. He said he needed to check into something and that he would call me “tomorrow” (Tues) 4/4. Tuesday and Wednesday rolled around and I didn’t hear back so I left him a voicemail Wednesday evening. Thursday and Friday rolled around and still no call so I left another voicemail and told him to let me know if I need to find another lender. Long story short, its been two weeks and he has completely ghosted me. So much for saving a week when he just cost me two. They just lost a return customer and I will never refer them to anybody I know.

  2. I would never recommend this company to anyone I know.

This was the worst experience in any segment or industry I’ve ever experienced. They lied throughout the process, continually delayed the closing to the point I almost lost the home if I hadn’t come out of pocket $2500 to the owner for their troubles.

Texas Lending offered a discount to not leave them, help cover my out of pocket expenses and then at the closing the rate was higher than quoted. They waited until three days before closing to ask me for vital and common verification like child support orders.

When the title agent and I called asking what happened the loan agent at Texas Lending said “I thought you knew it went up” and I asked if she called me to inform me she said no. I asked how can you do business this way she replied “I don’t know what to say”.

As the title agent and I continued to work through the documents she found a disclosure statement regarding why the rate was increased; it stated Texas Lending raised my rate to cover the cost of the discount they offered me to not leave them and reimburse the home owner for their troubles!

They delayed the closing by 4 weeks, one week at a time and each delay they needed updated financials. I sent so many updated financials it cost me 1-2 hours per week just to help them do their job. The delays put me in a position where I was forced to close or walk away from the house as the owners were outraged and I would not have time to start with a new lender and save the house I wanted to purchase. They did not attempt to fix the matter only made excuse after excuse. They knowingly take advantage of their clients and move on to the next transaction.

Offering a discount to a client and then taking advantage of a client at the closing table to recover the discount you offered is completely unethical. Please beware if you do business here, I would never recommend this company to anyone I know.

  3. I'm not one to sit around and deal with incompetence.

I’m not one to sit around and deal with incompetence. I don’t need a loan that bad. Incompetence is exactly what you’ll find here at TexasLending.com or Aspire Financial or whoever they are. They don’t comprehend written communication or the paperwork that they request from you.

They certainly don’t answer or return calls unless you are 1) A new potential customer or 2) Someone who has declared that you no longer wish to do business with them. After you tell them to forget it, they will harass the crap out of you.

I had to find the president (Kevin Miller) on LinkedIn and ask him to review the email traffic and ask his people to stop contacting me after I refused to sign anything further. I’ll be working with community banks from here on out. At least I know their hiring processes are more strict…

  4. Worst experience ever!

I was promised a 21 day closing no problem. $80,000.00 down and a credit score of 786 you would expect to fly through the process. Original closing date was July 3rd which actually gave 26 days. I found out on July 11th that for some reason the loan officer restarted the whole loan process after the whole week before and that Monday and Tuesday I was told it was in under righting.

From this point on I was lied to multiple times about the status and such. I finally started the closing process on a Friday but had to sign documents 3 different times on Monday and even still they did not fund until Tuesday because of waiting for an internal document. Final funding was 55 days from the start, I could’ve used my prior mortgage company and paid $4000.00 less.

  5. Bad Bad experience

Bad Bad experience…i lost all my money and apartment and me and my family basically were on the street because of this people here. They make us move from other county promising 100% loan for the house,

we pay appraisal ,inspections, give ernest money and day before closing they cancel the loan.Shame on you people i wish i can give -5 stars

  6. Bad Service Provide

THEY STOLE MY MONEY. Do not trust these guys as far as you can throw them, particularly that GOOFY LIAR on TV commercials. They stole my money and are crooked to the core.

Here is why they are crooked. I contacted them a few years ago to refinance my townhouse. First off, they required earnest money before they would start.

I paid about $300. They started and about a week into the process they said that my townhouse was a condominium, which it is not, and because of that I had to fill out more paper work.

Not only that, they required that the president of the Home Owners association, which the association is just volunteers of homeowners just like I am, fill out a form about my townhouse.

  7. Scammer

This outfit is terrible and dishonest. Go somewhere else.
