Unfortunate Experience
Had an unfortunate experience with Joe at Steel Guarde, LLC. He kept telling me he would file, but then delay after delay until finally it was the day or two before deadline.
Ended up having to do an extension. Later I went back to look at the estimate tax pay stubs he sent and the numbers were not correct on two of them.
I contacted Joe, but no response. He’s impossible to reach and doesn’t return calls.
I called the owner Blake who was extremely easy to reach and responsive which I appreciated.
He sent me a correct version of the pay stubs. However, after reading more reviews here on I started to think perhaps Joe could have potentially made more mistakes on my return so I contacted Blake again asking him to please review it, but no response.
I will now have to hire another CPA to not only file my 2017, but also review 2016 to make sure everything is correct.
Blake could have kept the business and customer happy if he had just reviewed the return and offered a discount on the next filing for all the hassle, but he didn’t.
Frustrating experience! Can’t say I would recommend these guys to anyone.
