Source Group LLC

Fake Marketing Company

WATCH OUT FOR THESE HORRIBLE SCAMMERS!!!

I was approached by them at a trade to buy advertising in one of their publications, they made it seem like they were part of our industries trade organization.

They are not. I contacted our trade association and they said these guys are a scam, and that they were not allowed to distribute their ‘magazine’ at our trade shows, and that Source Group takes your money to advertise but the only people that ever see the magazine are the ones buying the ads.

They almost got me.

  1. Source Group is not a scam!

Source Group is not a scam. They publish high quality show daily magazines with great distribution during the shows. They are an alternative to the “Official” publication. They have better rates with better distribution. All of their proposals and contracts state clearly that they are not affiliated with the show association or industry.

  2. LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM

Karim from source group called me out of the blue one day to tell me that he knew I was going to be a vendor in the Summer ASD show in 2019. He told me about his magazine and how it gets distributed all around the las vegas area before the actual show to get booth exposure. He told me there was one spot left for the front cover and it was a huge deal so on and so forth. After an hour of convincing me to sign up, I did. This meant I needed to hire a graphic artist to do the artwork for the “front page” I was supposed to be getting in the magazine. One month passes and the deadline for the artwork had been submitted, I received an email saying “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Merchandising News will not be published for the upcoming conference.

I want to personally thank you in advance for your understanding and wish you the best of luck at the upcoming show.

    Thank you!”

What kind of excuse is that to give a customer the day of the publishing of the magazine? I tried to call in several times to get a further answer about this because I spent weeks and MONEY on hiring a graphic artist and had a writer write a bio for the mag. I called in to speak with the “account manager” Nicole Maza, and she was on her lunch break. I found this very shady that I just spoke with Lynn five minutes earlier saying that shes got my artwork and it was going to be published. I left Nicole a message which she did not call me back. I called again the next day only to find her not giving me a clear answer as to why they would tell me on the last day when they had months to tell their customers this info. She rushed me off the phone saying she had another call she needed to take and thats when i knew I had been suckered. Do not work with this company they are incompetent and rude. Now I’ve spent time that cannot be replaced as well as money and they dont give two shits. The worst thing you can tell a customer while they are complaining that you have another call you need to take! Ill never do business with these people ever and I plan to tell my fellow colleagues that use magazines for exposure the same about this company.
