Lack Of Communication
Have worked with Smart Federal Credit Union for many years. Lately, seems to be some lack of communication between the local office and the larger Smart EZ card
Visa people. My husband was having $600 automatically taken out of our bank money each month – the agreement was half would go into savings and half into payment of our Visa card bill.
Finally found out the entire $600 was going into the local savings acct.
which added up nicely, but they were not passing on the additional $300 for our Visa payment which was a real problem.
I’ve had more than one “go round” with them over this and it’s not quite solved, yet.

SMART Federal Credit Union is a great place to do business. The staff is professional and always willing to help. They offer many services and it is clear they care about their members. They have many financial products and services offered in an honest, friendly atmosphere.
If you choose to do business in person at their main location, it is likely they will quickly know you by name and you will see the same familiar faces upon each return, as they have a low turnover of employees.
They also have shared branching services throughout central Ohio that make it convenient to do business close to home, as well as online. I highly recommend SMART FCU because their focus is on the customer first!

Seems like they are switching things up around here. I have my auto loan through here and the service was super smooth getting that set up (my rate was actually what I was told I would qualify for, no gimmicks or catches!). Staff is professional & knowledgeable. I will have my membership here for a long time.
Sketchy management.
Sketchy management. Pushing products on people who don’t need them just to collect their bonuses. Be SMART with your money, go somewhere else.
