I went to get a 50 minute Swedish massage a few weeks ago – when i arrived i checked in and the front desk worker let me know that i would have a male massage therapist. It did not alarm me since the spa looked professional and it had gotten great reviews. Before the massage started, the male therapist quickly walked in, told me to get undressed and get under the sheet, and then left. I did as told and then waited a minute or two from him to return. Once he did,
he did not example what he was doing or ask me about any sore spots or injuries – he just began. Which is alarming. About 35 minutes into the massage, the therapist asked me to turn over to lay on my back and then covered my breasts with the sheet. He then covered my entire face with a dry towel – which was also alarming to me. A few minutes passed by and he was working on my neck and chest and then he exposed my bare breasts and continued to massage and touch them inappropriately. I was in complete shock, i had no idea what was going on.
Since this was my first massage, i didn’t know what to expect but i knew i definitely felt uncomfortable. I left soon after and called a friend to ask if that was normal for a massage – i learned it was not. It was sexual assault. A few hours later, i called the manager to complain. In result she offered me free services in return for the incident. Obviously i declined since i never want to set foot in that spa again. I hope no one else does too. Times up.
