Extremely disappointed with this facility. My mother was discharged from the hospital to this facility and from start to finish it was a horrible experience. Her medications were completely off from her discharge orders from the hospital.
The facility is completely understaffed – something like 1 aid to 13 patients, and my mother would wait for over an hour for someone to walk her to the bathroom and then would soil herself because no one would come.
Finally, my mother couldn’t take the loss of dignity anymore, and would grab the walker and do her best to make it to the restroom in extreme amounts of pain, because she would wait over an hour for medication too (we started timing it)! This was our last choice for a facility, and rightfully so.
There needs to be more staffing so that patients can actually get rehab and get better. Do not send your love ones here unless drastic measures are taken to increase staffing. In the less than 2 weeks that my mother was there,
she lost more weight than she did in the hospital, and was losing the will to live because she sat in a room with delayed call light response, soiling the linens, in extreme pain, and hearing less fortunate patients groaning and hollering all day and night in the hallway.
