SchoolsFirst FCU Home Advantage Pro...
Horrible Horrible HorribleWe tried to use the Schools First Home Advantage Program, First Team Realty, to buy a house in Palm Springs.
The desert agent that we were assigned to sent us listings, which was great, but my first and only phone conversation with him was NOT great.
After basically taking a confrontational attitude from the start by asking if we were really going to buy something or were we just looking, he then told me to email our mortgage qualification letter asap.
When I questioned him about the Schools First Home Advantage program, he told me he didn’t get involved with the finances of transactions.
This after asking me for the prequal letter!
When I told him I wanted to talk to my husband about some of what we are looking for specifically in a home and would call him back, he very rudely said, “Call me back or not, I don’t care”.
I was so taken aback by this that I could not think of what to say!
Needless to say, I did not call him back.
I did call the First Team Realty administrators of the program, who apologized and said they would have the Schools First Representative call me, which never happened.
To say that I am disappointed in my credit union is understated.
They are always beyond excellent in every area, except this one!
Schools First Home Advantage Program is clearly meant to benefit us, the homebuyer, and they need to get realtors on board who want to help buyers, not belittle them because they are trying to save some money using the program.
Horrible horrible horrible.
the home advantage program is fantastic.
the home advantage program is fantastic. they placed us with the most wonderful real estate agent (Kassie Welch) and everything went extremely smoothly. we are more than happy with our experience.
