Upon checkout, Sandra claimed that we ruined her foosball table, broke her sofa, and caused the housekeeper 3 hours of vacuuming (all are completely false). She then began bullying, asking how we would like to pay for everything ($200) since she had a cancer family coming in that day and tried to guilt trip us about the kids not being able to play foosball. She continued the harassment all week as we did our research.
Sandra runs a non-profit called Leslie’s Week, and donates her house one week a year to the family of Stage 4 Breast Cancer patients. The literature around the house says that the house is gifted the first week of August each year. Sandra claimed that they were coming every week during July, in order to instill fear and guilt.
The biggest issue, is that all of her claims of our destruction, all happened in the same room, directly off of where her exterior security camera was installed “for insurance”. We noticed an oddly-placed smoke detector mounted on the wall of the main entrance room, overlooking all areas that she claimed to have a problem with. My wife is certified in interrogation techniques, and often places covert cameras hidden in smoke detectors in order to catch thieves at work, so she spoke with Sandra on the phone. As soon as she mentioned the smoke detector, she exhibited all signs of guilt and asked how we would like to resolve the situation. After the phone call, she immediately canceled the PayPal request that she had been badgering is about the entire week prior.
Sandra Gunn uses her non profit as a tax write off for her rental property, and then scams paying renters by making bogus claims and guilt-tripping them into submission. At least 2 of her 5 star reviews on VRBO are her own. I asssume she rents from herself through the website in order to do so.
She didn’t get us, though she tried like hell and will continue to do so with others, no doubt.
