Robnett & Co CPAs

I had a very poor experience with Robnett & Co CPA’s. I do not recommend using this firm. This is the first time that my husband and I ventured outside of Turbo Tax for our tax return.

We met with Nathan Robnett to get general information and a price quote about using his services. At the time he quoted us between $500-$600.

We thought that was reasonable and thought it was worth that to assure our taxes were filed correctly.

When we received the bill it was $1200! Way over what we were quoted. When we expressed our dissatisfaction that we were not quoted correctly, nor given a heads up when our return was exceeding the quote, Mr. Robnett replied with a “I expected a heartfelt thank you,” rather than acknowledging our concerns.

I might add that “thank you” was underlined and in bold. Very rude!

We again told him we were willing to pay for the services, but wanted to express our dissatisfaction that the communication was so poor around the quoted price and actual.

Mr. Robnett replies and tell us to “Be Honest with yourself” this is about money, not about quality of work.

I am aghast that someone would talk to a customer with questions this way!

To make matters worse, Mr. Robnett continually would take me off the email chains that my husband had added me on and replace me with his staff.

As if me being a part of the conversation in my families fiances wasn’t important.

I felt it was my duty to put this review out in hopes that it will save someone from a horrible customer service experience!

My mother is a CPA, though not in the state of Texas, and she agrees that the $500 was a reasonable price and that she would always communicate should she find that actual work was going to exceed the quote.

Please do NOT use this firm!
