Waste of Money
I was suffering from back pain and noticed something was wrong with my round shoulders and movements that involved my scapulas.
I sought help to understand why I was not moving correctly and how I could fix these poor habits.
I paid $199 to receive an initial orientation, followed by one appointment for $99.
Although it didn’t sound like the best choice, I accepted my position with one of the more recent physical therapists.
During orientation, she could not identify what was wrong with me as I did the assessment movements.
She also noticed something strange about how I was engaging my back muscles.
She took a recording of me so she could further analyze my actions.
After that, she promised to give me a deeper analysis.
She concluded that my lower traps were weak and provided me cookie-cutter exercises to practice at home.
The following week, I returned for my next appointment.
I was able to go over the exercises again with her, but she only did it once before telling me she was still trying to analyze the video.
I could not understand the movements she suggested and have struggled to do these exercises properly at home.
It is hard to keep that mind-muscle connection after doing it once.
Although I considered returning to her, the additional $99 she charged for a session that lasted only 30 minutes and her insistence on showing me exercises once was a massive waste of money.
I would have liked to be able to do the exercises she suggested a few times more.
If that were the case, I would have liked to see more results.
Oh, and she never gave me the analysis of her video.
Was this worth $300? I would say no.
I found much more helpful information online for free.
