Regions Bank

closing my account

I think I will be changing banks. The service has not been that great, but after the following incident, I am seriously thinking about closing my account and no longer doing business with these people.

I was just at my bank in the drive-through service in Columbia, Missouri with my dogs and a young man waited on me, telling me that what I needed required coming into the bank. I told him I couldn’t do that at the time because I had my dogs with me. He asked me if they were service dogs. I said no, one is a demonstration service dog and the other, a therapy dog.

He said, “Well technically…” I could bring them both into the bank with me! I told him neither one is a service dog, and he replied by telling me that the bank employees had just watched a video and they had no choice but to allow “therapy dogs”, “companion dogs”, “psychological dogs” and others inside the bank.

He said the bank has chosen to error on the side of caution. In other words, they choose ignorance over being well-educated and informed. (Anyone who has a genuine service or assistance dog knows what kind of dog they have.)

I tried to tell him he was incorrect and I would be willing to come do an inservice training for the bank at no charge to clarify this information and he totally blew me off, laughed and said it wasn’t necessary. He said, “I’m just trying to figure out a way you can bring your dogs into the bank.” (No lie)

When I got home I called the corporate office of Regions Bank to speak with the corporate compliance officer and couldn’t get past the gatekeeper. She put me on hold to talk to her manager about my concern. Her manager told her to tell me they have their own training program and did not need this information, and that there was no one they could transfer me to to discuss my concerns!

I am appalled that this business refused FREE information from a reputable source with the genuine intention of helping them comply with the law. I have been advocating for people with genuine service dogs for about 6 years now and providing countless hours of education in order to help the public become more aware to combat the ever burgeoning problem of fraud and abuse.

  2. Bad Service Provide

Regions charges massive overdraft fees on checling accounts and it is nearly impossible to get a real person on the phone. Plus, their merchant services fees are much higher yhan the competition.

  3. The most horrible bank I have ever dealt with.

The most horrible bank I have ever dealt with. If you want to have a better institution let a bookie or neighborhood dope dealer hold your money, they may do you better than this bank.

Customer service us terrible and they let me get taken for money 3 times and refuse to fix their mistakes while strong arm robbing your bank account for other companies’ mistakes.

  4. Good Service

A large group of highly experienced Family Practice providers, including those who have been chosen in statewide surveys as “Top Family Physicians” multiple times. Our rigorous, board-certified training, our continued education through re-certification, and our extensive experience provides the best foundation for your medical needs.

  5. Don't use unless you want to be in debt.

Regions randomly switched my savings into a no interest account and charged me $4 a month without my knowledge or permission. They also leave items “pending” for a week or more so you think you have money when you don’t.

They charge and overdraft fee of $36 and each time and item is finalized and gets out of pending, they’ll charge another $36 fee even though you bought that item before you were in debt. They try to trap you and spiral you into never ending fees. Leaving this bank asap. Don’t use unless you want to be in debt.

  6. Never use this bank.

Never use this bank. Worse Customer Service I’ve ever seen. No call back. Lose money. Unnecessary holds and fees. Etc.

  7. terrible bank.

terrible bank. they will cancel your account for spending your own money on things they do not deem “fit” such as bitcoin. they will cancel approved loans, cancel accounts, and have terrible and rude customer service. do not do business with this bank if you believe a person should be able to spend their own money on whatever they want when legal. shame!

  8. Horrible I woke up to a negative balance

Horrible I woke up to a negative balance and after calling and going up there they said a transaction went through at 11:45 and costed me 72 dollars and my job since I had no way to get there
