Redwood Credit Union

Wast Of Time

This Redwood Credit Union Branch use to be great. However, they have since moved and now do not have tellers.

I used the ATM to withdraw money from another CU account, it only gave me 100’s.

When I went to deposit the cash I pulled out in my RCU Account and another CU account (that I have no ATM card for) and get change, I was told they do not have cash and everything must go through the ATM.

A huge waste of time and what is the point of having a branch if your going to force everyone to use the ATM.

I guess I will be looking for a new Credit Union in the city.

They are always polite and friendly with the customer and their customer service was great for the customer. Their service was always professional. Thank God I bank at another bank! I went there the last time this month but I face some problem but they solve my problem to take a short time.

  2. time to look for another bank.

I left Wells Fargo and went to Redwood credit union, on market st in SF, they seem to be ok but lately they’ve been going through some changes and not positive ones. Now they’re talking about eliminating they’re safe deposit boxes service. looks like all they want to do is get your money and that’s it… time to look for another bank.

  3. I appoligized to him if I had offended anyone when I mentioned the, to me, offensive poster.

I made an innocent comment about a poster they had up behind the tellers. I said that it offended me and the next thing I knew a managerial employee named “Jacob” called me at home and told me he’d heard about my comment and he didn’t care for it and they had ways of “dealing with customers like me”.

I appoligized to him if I had offended anyone when I mentioned the, to me, offensive poster. Now whenever I step inside the place one teller slips in back to let smeone know that I’m there, the woman who sits on a dais above the tellers gives me a quick once over and I feel like shit. But yesterday I deposited 300 in cash in my account and as I was leaving, looked at my reciept, it was a reciept for 200.

I checked my wallet to see if there was a hundred still in it because I knew I’d brought 300 to deposit. I returned to the teller (there were no other customers in there, there usually are only one or two anyway). I asked the teller “did I just give you 200 or 300 dollars and he had three hundred dollar bills in his hands. He just said “sorry” like he didn’t think it was a big deal and gave me a second reciept for the other 100.

Something tells me this is the way they have of dealing with customers they don’t think are Redwood Credit Union material. That is a very uncool thing to do, if that was their intent. Now I keep my opinions about this place to myself when I go in and you can bet that from now on I’m going to check out my reciept twice before I step away from the teller.

Credit Unions are much nicer than the big rip off banks but what you gain in one area you lose in privacy, I feel like I’m banking in a small town in the sticks where everyone knows my business and they don’t approve.

  4. The list just goes on.

Not impressed with this bank AT ALL. I use them only for a checking/savings account so cannot speak to anything else they do… I have been banking with them for about 4 years since the whole “move your money local” movement happened and I don’t get it. I don’t see much benefit directly.

The customer service is worse, there are more fees than with chase. I just got charged $3 for punching in the wrong number in an ATM machine for a check I deposited and have done this before and never got charged nor was I informed that there would be a charge in any fine print.

I just wonder if maybe I should move my money to support wall street again because this has been one big headache for me… in addition to all of the above, their ATMs are so inconvenient! It seems like they set them up for convenience on their end and not our end as a customer. Their lines are always long because they don’t have enough tellers. The list just goes on.

  5. When I settle I will move far away leaving the vultures to feed on you.

As a fire victim Redwood told me I had called two weeks late and would not offer me assistance from the concert to raise $ for us. Keeping the balance for corporate interest earnings! They gave us a high rate auto loan instead.

Perhaps they don’t understand being burned out and what happens to your mind day after day trying to recover. Oh by the way I have 4 mill claim but I am worthless after 40 years of paying everything on time. When I settle I will move far away leaving the vultures to feed on you.
