Red Tree Real Estate

Red Tree does not have ethics and business standards

I was looking for a place to shift and saw the listing from Carl Stephens. I got interested and dialed the number listed on the website. He was a broker from Red Tree Real Estate. He asked for my information.

After getting the details, he said that my fiancé and I were at the top list of the potential candidates. He said that he would set up a time for us to check the rental listing. I agreed and asked my previous broker to contact them for verifying the details.

My broker with whom I was working all this time was ready to help me out with the deal and called Carl for making sure he is on the right track. He contacted Carl to check with the appointment. The same day, I got a call, and no one left any message.

I called that number back and a lady answered. She said that she was calling from Carl’s office and only wanted to verify the details.

It was funny. I called Carl from my mobile number and that lady called the same number to verify if it belonged to me. I did not understand what they were trying to do. Anyhow, we got the appointment details.

I arrived at the location with my old broker. I wanted to keep him in loop as he had helped me from start. After seeing us together, Carl was surprised. He was expecting me alone, but I showed up with my broker.

He was under an impression that I was no longer working with the old broker. He looked upset from that part. But, he tried to pretend a smile.

After showing us the place, he asked to email us the queries and he said he would revert back asap. He promised to get answers from the owner and getting back to us at the earliest. While leaving us on our own, he mentioned it one more time that we topped the chart of leading candidates.

As planned, I sent him questions that were important. The question covered if the rent covered the lawn maintenance and the snow removal cost. These were genuine concerns and we needed an answer before making any payments. I also ccd my realtor from the previous company. He mailed me the very next day asking if I was still interested. He wanted me to call back.

My old realtor mailed him back asking the answers of the questions making sure he knew that we were still interested. But, he never replied afterwards. I believe he did not want to share the broker fee and wanted to deal alone. That was the reason he asked for a call back and when my broker mailed him back, he stopped replying.

Being at the top of the probable candidates, we shifted to the bottom. This is insane and completely non-ethical. He just buzzed me off after knowing that I was still stuck with my previous broker. Unprofessional is the word for them.

  1. I cannot recommend Doug and his team at Red Tree Real Estate highly enough!

Douglas McCuster and his team at Red Tree Real Estate have been outstanding to work with. Doug was very knowledgeable and professional, and went the extra mile to find exactly what we were searching for in an apartment.

He is very responsive to all calls, texts, and emails, and kept me updated throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend Doug and his team at Red Tree Real Estate highly enough!

  2. Red Tree stepped up and notarized a Power of attorney in minutes.

Coming from Chicago – Purchased a condo in Brookline and needed a notary. Most of the major banks in Coolidge Corner were not helpful – hide behind liability excuses.

Red Tree stepped up and notarized a Power of attorney in minutes. Audrey who notarized our document was on time, extremely helpful, efficient and professional. If her customer focus is any indication of the service from the rest of the firm – I would highly recommend Red Tree.

  3. Never Again

I got a text message from Aaron telling me he’d be showing my apartment. My current landlord entered into a lease with new tenants a month ago.
