Super rewards is not worth opening an account with Provident Credit Union.

You have to spend $300 a month and do direct deposit.

That’s $3,600 a year to get the measly interest.

You might as well open a Marcus Goldman’s Sach account at 1.85 percent without spending $300 a month and putting your $3600 you save in there.

I have closed all 3 of my accounts. One more note.

When I was on my trip to Seoul South Korea I couldn’t pull any money out from my atm/credit card.

I then called them up and said since the USA was having issue with Korea, their card doesn’t work in that country.

I was like wtf. That’s weird and maybe a little racist! OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH MARCUS GOLDMANS SACH.

Research before you try and open and account with provident.

There are way better options with high yield interest out there.

  1. I hope this Bank fails and the FED takes it over, seriously!

    I have a home loan with provident credit union.this is the worst bank to get your loan with. stay away from this bank. Very very Incompetent to say the least. Provident credit union is an example how not to run a Bank. DISASTER— VERY VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE … WALMART makes you feel like a king compared to this bunk.. i mean Bank.

    SCOTT the real estate Head will never call you back.( 5 phone calls and messages over a 1 month time period)and this bank has my home loan since 5 years.. this guy scott has a job because of people like me… what a scam.

    1. the people that work in the realestate loan service department: are either away on leave, miscommunicate, never get back to you, give you wrong information, mess up the first time, redo the paperwork, messup again.. on and on… COMEDY OF ERRORS; I hope this Bank fails and the FED takes it over, seriously!

  2. Bad Service Provide

    I have been waiting to get my LIEN released note from provident stating that I have paid off my loans. And I had paid it like 8 years ago. I have made 5 calls, met them in person, and each time they say they will send it out today and it has still not happened. Customer Service must be improved.

  3. Repeatedly I was told that managers were not available to speak with.

    I have been a customer of Provident Credit Union for more than 20 years. Recently I had such a negative experience with them that if I were able to pay off my remaining account with them I would stop having any business dealings with them whatsoever.

    It is an awful thing to have a business you have had such a long-standing association with treat you with such a total lack of professionalism as I experienced when I refinanced my home with another different bank and closed an account with Provident for less than $1,000.00.

    They stuck extra charges on the account, and I called repeatedly for a month trying to straighten things out. I was repeatedly told that customer service representatives were going to call me back, and then they didn’t.

    Finally I took the name of a man I was speaking with, and when I called because he didn’t call me back I was told that no such person worked for them. Repeatedly I was told that managers were not available to speak with.

  5. I give a zero to this financial establishment.

    I have an account with Provident since. Today, I wanted to access my account, they have a captcha consisting in image recognition that needs to be used multiple times before giving me access to my money. This system is a big problem for the legally blinds who don’t use special software,

    It’s an unnecessary and cruel burden to use such system to prove you’re not a robot. This victimized those who are disabled. It would be fine if the audio option was comprehensible but it’s not, the case the words are all scrambled. Forn neglecte the most vulnerable of their clients, I give a zero to this financial establishment.
