I went into the store on 12-16-18 and used the credit offered by progressive to purchase a dining set, livingroom set, and area rug.
Once the furniture was set up I advised the guys that the furniture was not what I had requested. He still attempted to get me to sign the delivery paperwork saying that he would deliver the right one the following day. I advised him that I would not sign since it was not what I requested. I then called the store and was told by Steve (my sales guy) that the couch that I picked out in the store was no longer in stock so they sent one that was very similar. He went on to say that the one I ordered would not be available for another 2 weeks and that he thought that he told me that which he never did.
I asked how we would rectify the situation. He then offered me a store credit and I declined.
I asked for a manager and thats when Jason got on the phone. I explained the situation and asked him what we needed to do at this point. He said that he was a witness to Steve telling me about the couch and that there was not much that could be done other than giving me a matching ottoman or a rug. I declined and asked that they take the furniture with them. Steven began to get a little upset and hung up on me.
I advised the delivery men to pack the furniture up and take it with them. They said they would step out and come right back to get it but they never returned!
I called price busters customer service to no avail so i have the wrong furniture and they are refusing to come back and pick it up. They are also now claiming that I signed the delivery paperwork which is false so i’m assuming that somebody forged my signature and if that is the case I plan to sue them.
