HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Prestige Financial Services has been my auto lender for the past 3 years.

Over this time, I have had ALL ON TIME PAYMENTS and no issues whatsoever.

I have asked about refinancing my auto loan at least 5 times as I was told when I first bought my vehicle this was an option, and confirmed this by their website that clearly claims they offer refinancing.

This month I ran into a financial issues and my payment was returned- obviously, this was not my intention….. who wants to avoid their car payment?! I was stressed but knew things would be fine because I got paid in 2 days.

The morning of my pay date, I received a text from Brianna Howard (who is not even my account representative) letting me know my payment had been returned a second time.

I immediately responded CONFUSED as to why my account had been debited a second time.

I knew I didn’t have the funds the day before so I would never have approved this.

Brianna responded by blaming ME! Saying I was “mad at the wrong person”and “its not her issue”.

I WAS SHOCKED. I’m still shocked. I feel completely violated.

My personal information, my banking information, was used WITHOUT MY CONSENT and caused me to accrue additional overdraft fees.

All so much without an apology or acknowledgement of wrong doing.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. They only care about the way their books look at the end of the month.

    I Really wish they had a option for 0 stars because when I tell you this company is absolutely the WORST trust me. The previous reviews are not lies.

    I had my car financed with them for a little over a year and the whole time its been God awful the staff is rude everytime you call someone its like majority of them work from home so you hear all kinds of background noise not noises you expect to hear like the keyboard maybe etc like people talking and there is this horrible echo.

    They don’t work with you at all on payment due dates so if life happens and you cant afford your payment they are just like oh well we still need payment.

    Its terrible and they are so nasty and rude. On top of this I traded the car for a more reliable car and they are still harassing me and asking me for payment on a car I currently do not have in my possession he told me it take 4-8 weeks before a pay off is completed and I still need to pay. At this point its out of hand. SMh RUNNNNNN far away from them.

  5. I had filed BK last year and was in need of a car.

    I had filed BK last year and was in need of a car. I was able to get a 2016 Hyundai Elantra, but my interest rate was 20%. I figured after filing BK, that rate wasn’t so bad. I had a full year of payments on time (2 days early actually, every month) and not missing a payment.

    I had 2 jobs, and had recently lost one of them. So, I let Prestige know that I would still make my payments, but I couldn’t make them on the 11th of each month, it would have to be switched to the 27th.

    They did not work with me AT ALL. I was harassed by about 15 or 16 different people regarding my payments, because they were now late every month. I was getting extremely rude texts, phone calls, and emails to the point where I had to block all contact with them.

    Every week there was a new “account manager” for me and it was just getting ridiculous. I had to repeat myself over and over about my situation, and they REFUSED to change my payment dates.

  6. Do not go with this company.

    Catch a bus first. Had a loan for a little over $18,000 with GAP insurance, extended warranty, taxes and fees. If paid 6 year term, $30,000. Vehicle totaled after 2.5 years.

    With my monthly payments, the insurance payment, and the GAP insurance payment, all of which came up to almost the 6 year term amount of $30,000- they are still saying I owe another $3,000+ dollars. Car value $11,000.

    This means they will not only have received the full 6 year term amount in less than 2.5 years, but they will also receive more than 3x the value if the car.

  7. NEVER USE these BLOOD SUCKING THIEVES!

    borrowed for a car in 2005. Loan was $14,000 after interest,6 years later I paid $27,000. In 2012 they said I had Purchased a Car Warranty and still owed $2500. I did not purchase the car warranty!

    2018 THEY ARE STILL CALLING ME to collect $4500 (now with late fees). NO LATE PAYMENTS..PAID OFF but no car title. Threatning to reposses a 14 year old car. We are going to court!

    Correction: ZERO stars!!! This company is a joke. I understand that they work with people with poor credit and I think thats great but their customer service is atrocious. I authorized a one time payment on my brothers behalf last month on HIS account and I asked that my card not be kept on file.

    They assured me it would not be now fast forward to this month and they billed my for almost $500, their representative Diana admitted it was her mistake only the company is refusing to issue me a refund.

    After they told me they would and they needed my bank account number and routing so they could do it faster they called me back later that day to say they can’t refund me because it’s my brothers account.

    I was recently laid off of work, I call Prestige Financial Services to see if I could postpone my payment due to my layoff. They agreed to postpone the payment for a few weeks which I agreed would be helpful. Well, today the original due date they took the payment directly out of my account.

    After several calls to the so called “Customer Service” department, they agreed they made the mistake but can not process the refund until next week. So they left me with an over drawn account and no money to buy food for my child. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

    I could get a skip month and you would have thought that I was speaking Greek. I was asked what’s happening and why, so I didn’t get what I requested.

    I am so glad that now I have refinanced with my credit union and the first thing I was told without asking that I get five skips for the duration of the loan and I can do two skips a year and I got a great deal.

    It gave me great pleasure to shred every document they sent to me. I would not recommend anyone to do business with Prestige. I am sorry I came and glad I’m gone!!! I

    Don’t ever finance anything through them. I made a payment in June. They say I didn’t so I paid again. I have proof that both payments cleared and that the owe me a payment back. They have the money and refuse to refund it.

    They are not a typical bank or financial service you are used to dealing with. In addition, know your laws. According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) is a federal law that prohibits debt collectors from engaging in abusive or deceptive bill collection practices. Also be sure to check your state’s fair debt collection laws.

    I don’t appreciate a phone call and an email from this company on the day my payment is due! They also called and left a message on my husband’s phone. I’ve paid promptly for the 20 months I’ve had a loan with them and always pay a bit more. When I returned a call to the rep he wanted me to make my payment right then with him.

    I told him I would make my payment online as I always have before the end of the day and he again reminded me my payment was due that day. I told him I know when my payment is due and don’t need a phone call from them as I wasn’t late. He accused me of being rude and I told him I wasn’t being rude just stating the facts. He ended our call very abruptly.

    I now have a new car, other car was paid off and my interest is half of what I was paying through Prestige. I also have my new car financed through a reputable company. I had no plans of trading my other car until this happened!! After reading some of these other reviews I can’t image how they are if you REALLY fall on hard times!!

    HORRIBLE INTEREST AND PER DIEM RATES! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I bought a car and Prestige financed it, even with an 8% debt to income ratio they gave me a 14.99% and a 15 PER DIEM rate, which is like taking $15 per day and tossing it in the trash.

    4 month after purchasing the car and making payments right before Christmas, the car was totaled. I called them and let them know it was totaled. I asked them if we can do a deferral for this month because I did not have the money to give them during the holiday season and the insurance would be paying on the loan.

    They explained only 4 months in there is nothing they will do and they want the payment or they will report it to my credit. I asked if I could make the payment in 2 weeks when I get paid again, and they said you can but we are still going to report it to your credit as late. So they were completely unwilling to work with me or do anything to help the situation. Simply put, even after advising them that I am willing to make a payment in 2 weeks,

    and the insurance would be paying on the loan anyways, they still were going to report it late on my credit, when they could have just setup a deferral and got their money anyways at the end of the loan period. Prestige has terrible service, they talk over top of you because they simply DO NOT CARE about their customers.

    Their customers are numbers and that is it. Their rates are ridiculous and they make a massive amount off their customers with huge PER DIEM rates, what a disgusting company.

    I have had nothing but good experiences with this company. They are polite and very courteous. I purchased a brand new 2016 in Oct. 2016 and have already received an interest rate reduction. I hope to continue to have a good relationship with them but so far so good.

    Every week there was a new “account manager” for me and it was just getting ridiculous. I had to repeat myself over and over about my situation, and they REFUSED to change my payment dates.

    So, I am late every month until I can get back on track because they won’t work with me. Every other loan company I have done business with has worked with me. You’re still getting your money, just a week and a half late.

  25. Very horrible and poor customer service!

    I wish there was a way to give no stars this place took money out of my account after I just made a full payment then told me I have to wait five days to get the money back into my bank account.

    I have four children and now because of this company I have no money at all for the next five days. All I can do I pray that there are no last min disaster that occur in my children or my life in these next five days! I wish I never worked with this agency! Very horrible and poor customer service!

    The WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!! They contact you before your payment is due. This company comes across as Very Arrogant and treats you as if you owe them Personally for the car payment.

    Customer Service sucks!!!!!! This company should go through some kind of “Compliance and Customer Service” training to learn how to treat and respect people 🙁

    Poor customer service!!!!!!! Due to an car accident, leaving our car completely damaged, forced to purchase another car, the remaining amount on the car was paid for. They continued to harass my wife everyday with phone calls. An account manager (David) was extremly rude to my wife. Stating that she owed him an explanation, along with some other unprofessional shit.

    So, I did what every other protective husband should do, I called this asshole and I went off on his ass. That’s no way to speak to a lady. He hung up on me, so I decided to call again to speak to his manager (Von). I explained everything to him but I got the feeling that he was not gonna do anything in regards to writing this jerk up.

    I figured that I can’t make the manager write this person up, so the next best thing fro me to do is to leave a review on their business. Here’s a tip, don’t fuck with them.

    If you like throwing your money away go with Prestige! You will never have the chance to qualify for the rate reduction plan. They charge so much interest that unless you pay extra, most doesn’t even go towards the payment. Stay far away from this place!

I blocked them from calling me directly, told all my contacts to block them and only allowed them to contact me via email which they hated.. I ignored every letter they sent and returned it to “SENDER” …

    I stopped paying for this car when the term was up and didnt pay their late fee’s or anything. They couldnt find the car even if they wanted to because it was not at the address THEY had when i bought the car.. So basically these bitches were at my mercy and i loved it… This is how u have to treat bullshit companies like this.. I promise u those fuckers know my name at that entire company LOL

  35. I wouldn't recommend these people to dog sit for me much less finance anything.

    They checked my contact list info. (list of people and their addresses that you provide when you originally apply and are approved for the vehicle. Places they can try to find the vehicle in the event you get behind in payments).

    Well, they contacted my ex and offered him $100 if he would tell them where the vehicle was. I lost my job and had to move in with him in Columbia, MD. Well wouldn’t you know it, being the desperate person that he is, he told Prestige where to find the vehicle, (at his apartment).

    Needless to say, within 24 hours, the vehicle was repossessed by Prestige and now they’re trying to say that I owed, over $12,000.00 in late payments, etc.

    First of all, they would have NEVER allowed anyone to get $12,000.00 behind in payments. I don’t know how they are arriving at this figure, (because no one will return any of my calls).

  36. This place needs shut down.

    Customer service sucks. My son missed some payments and they repo’s car. within hours of the repo they were contacted and the payment with arrangements were made. This is about 12 noon. She stated she would call right back with the information where to reclaim the car.

    At 3pm he finally called her and was given a number, which did not even do repo in the area. called back 4 more times getting 4 more numbers and none of them were correct.

    Called her right back and she was gone for the day. This is very scary since they are handling money and such. Credit scores….. I am glad that we are going to be able to move this loan to real bank where customer service and information is attainable. This place needs shut down.

    I bought a car from them big mistake, they gave me a 23% interest, I paid about 5,000 and they told me that I still owe 20,000 when the price of the car was only $12,000 they kept calling me aggressively and kept adding fees they said they would pick up the car but they never did, couple months later I talked to a friend that worked there and told me to do this.
    she said:

    when they call you tell them you have a cease and desist letter and you cannot be contacted any longer about this matter, she also told me to wait until they call again and document the attempts, and to get in touch with a attorney and sue them so that’s what I did.

    I got to keep the car and they paid for the rest of the loan, and my attorney fees, I also thin I got people fired… all this was done in less than 2 months, my attorney said that these companies know what they are doing is illegal on the way they try to collect money, but you as customer have rights and can strike back if there is enough of us we can stop this company from damaging your life.

    if you have problems with them do what I just told you and find legal help it’s available at not cost to you and you get to keep your car

They will also look up and call your neighbors, landlord and work without your consent. When they call your neighbors I have only been 2 days past due. I have told this company to remove my work number from their calling list and they still call.

    They will email, text and call you – pretty much they stalk you without even being 1 week late. Besides the stalking I have paid on my car for 3.5 years and only paid off $3,000 in principal. This company is a scam and rip off and unfortunately after my BK I thought this was the only way to get a car but there are other options for you after BK. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

    A pure joke. The most rude, nasty, and unbelievable people I have ever had to deal with in my life threatening to come get the car. I keep telling them to and they don’t like that . Putting words in your mouth.
