Pivotal Payments

Pivotal Enrolls you to extort you

Pivotal Payments had a good scheme for which I decided to sign up. Not much time passed, when I realized that the company that offers good scheme, may not be a good company. It may happen that the company is intentionally offering a good scheme to his customer for attracting him and making him fall in its trap. This is exactly what happened with Pivotal Payments. I saw a good scheme, fell for it and in the end the condition got so bad, that even though I wanted to hand over that card to someone else I couldn’t!

While enquiring about everything, I enquired about the cancellation charge that they charge. I was informed that they charge $300 as the cancellation fees. That seemed pretty fine to me, so I enrolled up. I was informed by others that, while buying a card the only thing that one should focus on; is the cancellation charge. So I remained cautious about it and thought everything was under my control. I can get out of them as easily as I got in to them, but I was wrong.

To start with, they have bunch of illiterate people working for them. If I want to explain it to anyone over there, it took me ages. This is used to consume my time, every time I came up with any doubt. Talking to their employees was like hitting a rock on your head. Secondly, I came across a long list of things that were hidden from me while signing the contract with them. And thirdly there terms and conditions seemed so irrelevant to me that a person that once signed up for them, could never go out without paying them tons and tons of money. That long list of things which were hidden from me included:

1. Their usage of third party for terminals: This directly implied that as a cancellation charge. Not only I had to pay Pivotal but also to that third party whom I do not even knew! This increases my cost.

2. They had their own yearly fees which was taken from my account without my permission. I understand every firm has such fees but to ask for them, to enlighten you about this is the basic and the foremost right! No company can do this, except for scammers, which I thing Pivotal Payments are!

3. Suddenly there cancellation charge changed from 300 USD to 2200 USD, not even Berkshire Hathaway’s share price changes this much in a day! And they weren’t even listed in stock market.

If I wanted to give the card to someone, they did not deny me to do that, they just charged me an amount that I self-denied. Because if I wanted to do that, I would have to pay some yearly termination fee and frankly speaking I was tired of filling their pockets! This is extorting and not business. Clearly Pivotal Payments works for getting money out of their customer by providing them shit as a customer service and excel in hiding their terms and conditions from their customers. DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR TRAP!
