Phoenix Eye Care

deceit to perform unnecessary procedures

I have found that the place employs intimidation and deceit to perform unnecessary procedures, despite any order or direction from a doctor.

The idea that a driving vision field test would require eye dilation or any other chemical in the eyes is dangerous and unethical.

This is a dangerous place.

  1. Dr. Shannon Steinhauser and the team at Phoenix Eye Care are phenomenal.

The team at Phoenix Eye Care and Dr. Shannon Steinhauser are amazing. My husband was blinded and in pain for 12 hours. Southwest Eye Surgeons was the first to see him. (See negative review earlier for more details). He could not show compassion and misdiagnosed my husband as simply using his contacts.
My husband has worn contacts for over 25 years. Due to my husband’s allergy, Dr. Singh prescribed an incorrect medication and failed to recognize it. My husband felt extreme pain and had his eyes completely swollen.

We felt Dr. Singh was incorrect in his diagnosis and thought my husband was allegoric to the medication. We stopped taking the medication and canceled our next appointment (he was supposed to be back on day three). Instead, we found Dr. Steinhauser.

Her staff listened carefully to my husband’s concerns about his eye health and agreed that it was not due to contact misuse. They also suggested that he might be experiencing an allergic reaction. Dr. Steinhauser called on Saturday morning to discuss our concerns. She agreed to meet us in her office within a few hours.
