This guy, Peter Malan, calls me out of the blue from Cash Advance America. He states that I have been approved for a loan of up to $10,000. I have been applying for short term loans for unexpected expenses. He states that before he can process and deposit the loan, he has to have a $50 Google play card. I told him that I don’t have the money. I also informed him that Loan companies do not ask for things like this. He yells.me to go to a store and purposefully overdraw my account to get the card, call him back. I call him a few hours later and told him my bank will not allow the overdraft. He gets pissed off that I called him hours later instead of the “agreed upon 30 minutes”. I hang up on him. He calls me back a while later and said that his accountants need a bank verification which requires me to give him my online log in information. I refused. He gets pissed off and hangs up. He had not called back nor have I called him. I have put a fraud alert on my credit reports, a fraud alert on my bank account, and registered my fingerprints with law enforcement just in case my identity gets stolen.
