I’m from out of town and I only use Park National Bank – Worthington because it’s the only branch near my college.
I figure it’s main purpose is loans over banking because it’s the only branch in columbus.
I’ve done loans with PNB before, but after the experience I’ve had here with customer service.. I would rather drive back to my hometown branch then work with anyone here.
I always feel uncomfortable. One teller in particular makes me feel this way.
I walked in for my savings account and she demanded I tell her my social security number when I’ve never had to provide it in the past with my account number and Id.
I told her I felt more comfortable writing it if I needed to because there were other people hovering in the area.
This request received quite a bit of attitude. Now everytime I go in and work with her, I can just feel the contempt. It’s really uncomfortable.
If I wasn’t moving west in the near future for graduate school, I would’ve switched banks awhile ago.
If you’re looking for a new bank, I’d highly recommend you continue your search.
