Ourtime.com uses shady practices

I am an old widow. Few years back, my husband died. Being in a relationship for so long, left me devastated after his death. I was pushed back in life. When my son visited me, he too sensed the loneliness in me and suggested me to meet people online through dating websites. He gave me the link for this website Ourtime.com.

After giving it a lot of thought, one day, I decided to check the website. When you are happily married, you usually meet couples for dinners and parties. Hence, after my husband left me, I even stopped going to these parties that included old friends. So, the only option I could think of was this dating website.

At first, I though of trying for a month and signed up for the same. As soon as I did that, I was taken for an upsell link and frankly speaking, I fell for it. I thought that the charges would be deducted monthly and I would get the opportunity to cancel the same whenever I would like.

But, I was wrong. This site is all about lies. So, now I was signed up for some exclusive plan. All I needed to do was, wait. To my surprise, people actually seemed interested in me, that is what I assumed at the start. I received dozens of requests and messages in less than 24 hours. Later to realize that all these were fake and scams.

I also got three different messages from three people who were actually showing the website to some and my picture came up. Some said that a friend was interested, and some told me about the cousin. I did not realize that these could have been scams. These both guys told me that the friend or the cousin who saw me, are highly interested in me. And, they would be deleting the profile. So, they wanted me to mail them on their personal email address. They both provided me their email addresses.

I did email the first person. Later, I received the same email address from the other username, the very same day. That is when the bell rang. I knew something was fishy. As soon as I felt unsafe, I contacted the customer care service and requested them for deleting my account. I also asked them to refund my amount. I was charged $120 and I wanted it back.

However, they said that the refunds are not allowed and asked me to delete the account myself. I tried to do that as well. But, the instructions they provided was for those having free membership accounts.

I couldn’t delete it and was stuck with that unknown person having my email address. I did stop visiting this website though. Few days later, I found my email address was registered with some unusual site and it had the same photo that I uploaded with ourtime.com. You cannot imagine the torture I went through.

Being a Christian ministry for 40 years, what would this do to my life. I am devastated to be precise. This is a scam and please stay clear of this website.
