One Medical

Costly membership

I showed up as a walk in , with health insurance (PPO), and the receptionist hits me with a membership fee… needless to say I was set aback by this as they are listed as an Urgent care facility. I told that I needed to see a doctor and she began her sales pitch, we know that we’re listed as an Urgent care but we are a primary doctors office and we have a membership fee of $149.

I can refer you to an Urgent care but to see our doctors you must be a member. Then she politely offered to give me directions to the nearest Urgent Care….not cool with the bait and switch. This company may be full of good doctors, I don’t know because of the bait and switch. Besides what does my insurance cover anyway and what are you charging $149 for… an app as the receptionist said? C’mon , lead with that and have some ethics

    One Medical Is Scammer.

One Medical was recommended to me by a very good MD. My experience is that the care is sub-standard and I have initiated closing my account. I find the storefront to be a glorified referral source providing a combination of mis-information and mis-diagnosis and referrals to other offices where there is a long wait to get an appointment.
