Horrible Company

Horrible company to deal with. The workers are incompetent and do not care what they tell you.

I had a loan with Oklahoma Student Loan Authority for a college that closed the program I was studying and after Rose State lied to me and told me another college would pick up the program and they never did, I turned to Osla to help me, and osla did nothing to help me but send me back to Rose State.

So now for years I have a large student loan when I was not even able to receive a degree much less benefit for the time in school what so ever.

After continuing to ask Osla for help they told me the best they could do was to put me on an IBR and after years of being on it I could apply for loan forgiveness, so I did that and waited years, calling Osla many times making sure all was on track to apply for the loan forgiveness and was told all is fine.

When I reached the time to apply for the loan forgiveness I was the.

Told after Osla sent me the papers to fill out for the loan forgiveness I was told now I don’t everything I need to apply, because I have been on the wrong loan all these years and will have to have my loan converted and start the 10 years again, and the only thing Osla can say is oh sorry.

Oklahoma Student Loan Authority should not be in business. They have harmed and financially ruined so many lives.

  1. They should not be allowed to provide loans if they can't get their act together to run a business.

    I am so sorry to the other students and parents who have been caught up in this disaster of a “student loan servicer.”

    I have been trying to create an account with their website for *days* and because of a broken link in their form, it won’t allow new accounts to be created.

    Don’t even think about trying to contact customer service unless you have the next four days free to sit on hold. No one will answer the phones, no one will call me back, and no one will respond to my emails.

    I am tempted to fly to Oklahoma just so I can pay off the loan in person and be done with them. They should not be allowed to provide loans if they can’t get their act together to run a business.

  2. Not Amazing company!

    I love this job! Not Great work environment, all management, co-workers are always friendly & helpful and most of all very patient. The trainer sets you up for success.

    I am so glad I chose this company to work for. I enjoy going to work everyday. The benefits, vacation, holidays off are a plus. The management is the very best I have ever worked for! They do not micro manage, as long as you do your job. Not Amazing company!

  3. 1 star is way too good for this company

    1 star is way too good for this company! I have Parent PLUS Loans that were taken out by my dad, and *luckily* we got OSLA. The experience has been horrible throughout!

    We found out payments were due even though he had asked for deferment. No big deal, we can make payments. My dad tried contacting them time and time again and no response.

    I tried and got treated horribly by two reps because I wasn’t on the account. I get that, but they never tried to help my dad. We tried going online and it wouldn’t work so that we could make payments.

    It’s been months and we are getting no where! Ive never met a customer service as horrible as theirs! I thank my lucky stars my other loan companies have phenomenal. If you try contacting OSLA, my thoughts go with you!

  4. Still on my credit report as PAST DUE.

    Still on my credit report as PAST DUE. Called them. They said “We won’t take it off your credit report. It will automatically drop off in 2019”. I said “but YOU show it paid off. Why is it even on my credit report?”

    They said ” We won’t take it off your credit report. It will automatically drop off in 2019″. I said” Why is that?” They said “We won’t take it off your credit report. It will automatically drop off in 2019”.
