We had Oasis come out and service our HVAC system back in April, or so we thought. Someone came out, spent a few hours, pointed out some things we needed to have done, and supposedly cleaned and serviced our unit. We got charged almost $400 for that.

Yesterday, our AC unit stopped blowing cold air completely. We contacted Oasis yesterday afternoon, and have yet to hear back from them. In the mean time, we had someone else come out to diagnose our AC issue. As soon as he took the panel off the outside, he told us that unit had not been serviced or cleaned in awhile.

When we told him that we had someone out in April, he told us that they didn’t do anything. There were 4 wires that were fried and needed to be replaced. We were told that if we had the unit properly serviced back in April, this issue should have been found and fixed. We are completely disgusted with the “service” that we received from Oasis and will not be using you ever again.

  2. Would give ZERO stars if that were an option.

    We called this company to get an estimate for repairs for the HVAC at my husband’s office. We were charged hundreds of dollars for said estimate. Called another company who repaired the HVAC for less than the cost of the estimate.

    Attempted to get some money back and we were told that the estimate was so high because the tech had to spend time looking up the repair parts when in reality they were recommending replacing the entire unit.

  3. Check and double check for Property Damages.

    Long story short, recently my heat pump stopped working, tripping the breaker. Before I hired Oasis, I already suspected that my compressor was faulty after some checking. I don’t have the equipment to test things like Freon charge or system leakage. I decided to get a “professional” opinion. My wife was home when Joe Skrutsky, the owner and one of the only two technicians at Oasis, showed up.

    My wife got him on the phone with me. I liked him at beginning because he seemed to know his trade. After about an hour, or 50 minutes to be exact, he was done with checking the system, and confirmed that my compressor was faulty.

    My wife asked me how much was considered reasonable. I told her it should be between $90 and $150 based on my previous experience with all trades people (plumbers, electricians or HVAC technicians). My wife was shocked when Joe charged us $257 ($65 service call + $192 for 1-hr labor). I was also shocked but told her to pay anyway because, as I just said, I liked him.

    On time and proffesonial. The spring and falls services has kept my unit running great . Oasis just provides great service with no sales pressure to buy something you don’t need

    After the technicians spent 15 minutes at my house diagnosing the problem as the capacitor plus one other relatively inexpensive part (the contact), I get a very unpleasant call from Karla (office manager) who informs me the job will cost over $600.

    (I assumed it must be the motor or something big) So I blindly started giving her my card number when it occurred to me to ask “Why such a large discrepancy from my estimate?” Obviously annoyed to have to explain or break down the parts vs labor charges,

    she mumbled that the two parts total $300 (the capacitor alone is now magically $100 more than it was an hour ago by the way) and the rest is labor because it will take “an hour and 15 minutes” including the time they spent “diagnosing” the problem. When I ask to speak to Tiffany, Karla tells me Tiffany only answers phones on weekends.

  6. They are affordable and the most reliable in the area.

    I first used Oasis when I had my AC unit replaced in. They have been very reliable since then. So when my furnace died in , I called them and they gave me a great price and a great install. They are affordable and the most reliable in the area.
