Northwest Mortgage Group

Horrible Experience

In August 2012, we had an awful experience with NW Mortgage Group.

Jim Wagoner, our broker, gave us bad advice when we transferred funds to make it clear to the underwriter.

We could not use the funds, and we had to submit paperwork multiple times as they were not sure what documents to review.

For example, we submitted our tax records three times, and they finally agreed to use them after three more times.

We were highly dissatisfied by their service and the level of detail in reviewing records.

We were repeatedly “denied” several times, but after reviewing our assets again, they finally said, “Oh, that we forgot you were using them.”

I’ve never seen such a ball drop at a mortgage company before. It almost matches the level of disaster at Bank of America.

This group would not be a good fit for me again.

  1. This Place is Scammer

Beware! Carol Flanagan and her team over promise and underdeliver.

Carol and Sarah assured me that underwriting was just a formality in multiple emails.

I was issued a pre-qualification letter that had a seller approve my offer only to have Carol come back and say, “sorry, can’t get you approved.”

I waited ten days after submitting to underwriting before I checked on the status and asked for a pre-qualification mentioned by Sarah in previous emails.

My realtor and mortgage broker at OnPoint had never heard of a pre-qualification letter being sent and then denied approval.

My realtor then called Carol, and she had the nerve to say I pressured her to issue pre-qualification.

Waiting 10 days is pressure??? Conversation between the realtor and Carol occurred after my conversation with her where she apologized and said she needed to review training with her employees…

So if you want to lose a house and make your realtor w decades of experience look bad because of poor business practices, then Northwest Mortgage Group is the place for you!

  2. We're glad we chose them.

Mark Boeck helped us navigate the mortgage process when we purchased a house. He was easy to talk to and personable.

His business is well-understood, and it was easy to work with him and his associates. You can feel confident when choosing this mortgage company to work with. We are glad that we chose them.

  3. I would be very reluctant to use this group again.

We were both very dissatisfied by their service and the level of detail they used to look through our records.

After looking at all our assets once more, we were finally told “Oh, We didn’t know you were using them.”

I’ve never seen such a thing happen in a mortgage company, nearly matching the bank of America disaster! This group would be very difficult to use again.
