North American Financial

Loan Service

I was recommended by friends to use North American Financial. The loan officer that helped me was Mike — let me start by saying that at first he seemed to be very efficient until it was time for closing.

I was told that I would be closing 3 days sooner than expected and I was impressed.

I was happy, therefore I had already packed all my things and moved in with my sister since I only needed three days.

I had already scheduled my utilities to start that same Tuesday.

Then I was told that they ran into some issues that I was going to be closing on the date assigned (Friday).

I was ok with it because I understood that that was the original date.

Then I’m told that I’d be closing Monday, and I just now spoke with them and now they’re saying it will be the following Friday.

I have been living out of boxes and can’t stay at my sisters any longer.

I will be renting a storage in the mean time simply because they did not turn in the paper work on time.

The day that I was supposed to be closing is when they decide to send the verification of employment to the company I used to work for — really? I know this because I used to work for my dad and that’s what his assistant told me.

So, were you ever on time when doing my paper work? I do NOT recommend using them.

I was the one that needed to reach out to them to know about the status of the loan, never did they call me to let me know what was going on.

Sometimes they wouldn’t even answer or reply to my text messages until I reached out to my Realtor and he’d find out for me.

They did not even apologize for the delay – the least thing that they could do is refund my hotel and storage fee.

Don't ever do business with this place. Worst experience ever!!

Don’t ever do business with this place. Worst experience ever!!! They claim they know about out of state moves. They don’t! I had nothing but grief and stress from this company, starting with my closing date, which got changed, all the way up to and including being misinformed about getting my keys to my house.

Most importantly though, the information regarding the whole process from start to finish was either NOT explained, not explained properly, or in language I didn’t understand. It was the rep’s job to make all of these happen, which he did Not!

I am sickened I even went with this company for my mortgage, but sadly it was a referral from my agent. I would never recoomend this company, unless you want a lot of undue stress!

    Worst experience!

Worst experience! Was approved for a loan and night before closing the loan fell through. Had another company redo my loan and turned out I was not approved for the amount N.A.F said I was. Now I am fighting for my earnest money, appraisal ,and home inspection.

N.A.F have been ignoring my calls for almost 3 weeks. Even went down to the office to speak with supervisor. Now I have an attorney filing a law suit. Loan officer was Jon Scampton. Very unproffessional company!

    What an excellent company.

I have refinanced my home twice through this company and have found them to be very professional and fast at what they do. Jon Scampton is who I worked and will continue to do so due to his personalized service. What an excellent company.
