For an entire year, I worked with Muller Insurance. I am myself surprised about it. This is not the right place to work, especially if you are just another number. You do not have any value other than the rep who brings money for the company. In any case, if you try to find your answers, you would either be ignored or would be charged for unnecessary mistakes that you never did. I was not aware of their tactics and thought that if I would keep up my good work, I would be paid well.
With their online training and field training, I joined there as a rep and within that one year, I was promoted to Commercial & High Value reporting and became a Trainer. I thought that they were making exceptions by rewarding me. However, I was wrong. That designation made no change to the way they treated me and the other employees. I thought that I had developed a good relationship with my manager who was also promoted from a rep. But, I was wrong. This company does not value its employees and is not loyal to them. If you are trying to find a long-term career option, it would be better if you choose another company. Muller Insurance is a place for those who are either looking for a part time job or a second stream of income. They are not loyal and can throw you out any moment of time.
Muller does not give a damn to the tenure you have worked for. They only want you for their job and once you have paid them well, you are no one to them. I excel at time management and routing skills. That is the reason I can work independently. And Muller only entertains those who can work on their own. You will get no assistance and you will be left on your own. The manager is also available from 8:00AM to 2:30PM. Incase, you have any query, you will have to wait for the next day if you want her after 2:30 PM.
I was good at my skills and joined with $10/hour. They did not revise my salary after I was promoted. When I fought with the management, they gave me a rise to $12/hour. It was not just my story. A rep whom I trained did exactly what I did and got a hike from $10/hour to $17/hour. So, you can understand the ways you can stay alive in this company. You will have to fight for your rights all the time.
To be candid, the work is simple and does not entail a lot of brainstorming. However, the difficulty begins while reporting your work. The fickle QA team will eat your brains. The irony is, none of the member from the QA team has ever went on a field work and still they feel they are better than the reps. They will keep on measuring your credibility, god known on which grounds.
If the QA team ever rejects your report, you only have one option. You need to fix it, even if it is spotless. If you reach out for help to your manager, you will only be disgraced. The manager never stands with her reps and will always support the decision of the QA Team. So, you are actually working under them when you have an entirely different department. At the end of it, you earn less because of the report malfunction and you still worked harder the entire day. How convincing does that sound?
The work requirement is even vague and unsafe. You need to walk inside the property of residents. Sometimes, it may happen that you will have to walk in their property when they are away. And the unsafe part is the visits inside their homes. Being a male, I have issues tackling unsavoury people, what would have happened if I were a female. You also need to visit people’s roof for inspection and if anything goes wrong and you meet with an accident, you will have no coverage from your company.
There is no way you can ever propose anything to the upper management. I would rather say that the entire management is a fantasy. There is nothing that is managed. The company does not value its employees and is always busy in putting unnecessary charges to deduct the payment. There is no positive aura and you will feel trapped after some time.
There were people who were stuck from a long time and were ready to leave at any moment. All of us who have worked or are working in this company, look forward for another option and till then is burning their butts with this messy management.
If you are looking for a career, be warned. All you can get here is stress and frustration. There is nothing new to learn in this job and you will have no growth until you know how to snatch one. You will spend your time dong hard work in the field and fighting to get your money for the work you did, in the office.
So, you get nothing after all the trouble you took for the company. I was the lucky one to get out of Muller in a year. There are others who are trapped for years. The manager will suck every drop of blood from your body and will make you good for nothing.
The company only recommend those who can work like a donkey and ask for nothing in return. Are the calling themselves a company. I should better term them as cheaters who are more interested in looting their employees and burdening them out of frustration and debts.
You have an open sky. Do not make the same mistake that many of us made by joining this company. It is a ripoff and a hell to work at, stay away from this company and its people.
