Mountain Loan Center

Their Office Is Not Professional

Please visit ANOTHER pay day loan company first, and only consider this as your LAST resource.

Their office is not professional. “They remolded” but it still is not very private for people giving their private info with other people sitting 10 feet away.

The girl that is always there has a smirk on her face EVERYTIME I go in to make my payment.

I am hurrying to pay them off so I don’t have to go there anymore!

This is the one and only time I am going to do business with them.

They are not worried about looking out for you and trying to help you out.

READ THIS: If you are making a payment for your principal, make sure you tell them that!

I went to pay my interest and wanted the rest to go to my principal and they would have scre** me over if I did not verify they did it correctly.

What they were trying to do is take off my current interest payment, take off my next interest payment and THEN put the rest towards my principal!

This would have not helped me out at all, because my principal payment would’ve been lower!

The whole point of a pay day loan is to borrow money until your next check! NOT try to do a loan application with outrageous interest fees!!

The reason why I do not recommend them is because if they are going to pull my credit score to do an application they should report to my credit my on time payments!

If they are going to run your credit check they should bring down their interest for people with better credit scores!

They are all over the place and need to reconsider how they do their business.

  1. Then unemployment challenges hit out family & we could not keep up.

Please never use these idiots. We went to MT Loan Center for help due to huge hospital bills that forced us to fall behind in our rent. My wife has a congenital heart condition, and just went through thyroid cancer. I also have additional medical costs raising two children, one with autism.

After taking out the loan I set up with my bank to issue a check to the Provo office every two weeks, even though I took the loan out in SLC. Then it started, calls, letters Texting. I told them the check was mailed to the Provo office. The SL office told me to call Provo.

I told them I had copies of my returned check with their company stamp on the back & bank statements showing the check cleared my bank. They asked me to fax, and email the copy of the checks & statements to them, later claiming they never received a thing from me, even though my fax showed conformation and my email never returned a bad address.

Provo claims they log all transactions then forward the payments to St George, though they never at anytime logged a payment from me, even though one of my checks was found on a managers desk in error at the St George location.

Keep in mind they were charging me late charges daily for their incompetency’s. I had employees actually yell at me & tell me they don’t accept bank checks like the ones they had been cashing from day one. Due to the late charges I owed more after two months than I barrowed. So, now they claimed I was only making partial payments & charged me even more late charges.

Then unemployment challenges hit out family & we could not keep up. I was just served a garnishment for $10,000.00 on a $2000.00 loan, taking a third of my paycheck for the next YEAR. We are now in the process of filing bankruptcy and surrendering one of our cars in hopes of not losing our home.

  2. I WILL NEVER USE MTN. LOAN CENTER AGAIN!!!

I had a horrible experience with Mtn. Loan Centers! I had a late payment, which was 4 days late, I was well aware of the fact. They called me while I was at work and I couldn’t answer my phone. I called them back on my lunch break not 30 mins later and made arrangements to pay, which I was happy to do. I got home later and 2 of the references I had given Mtn.

Loan. let me know Mtn Loan had called them and let them know my payment was past due and that I needed to get in touch with them. They didn’t even give me 30 mins to call them back!!! Then when I went in to make a payment they looked at the wrong loan and said my principal was higher than my initial loan! If I had not caught it while standing there, I’m sure they would have argued that, that was my actual loan amount next time I went in.

Finally, when I was able to pay my loan off I called to get a payoff amount, got it, repeated it to the rep on the phone and confirmed that amount was correct. Later that day I went into the branch and they total was off. They had given me the wrong amount over the phone. I paid it off anyway and thought I was done. Note: This was a Friday.

On Monday, I get a voice mail message from Mtn Loan saying that I need to call them back about the delinquency on my account. I call them back wonder “WTF!!!” they stated that my account was still past due, I informed them I made my payment, they then said if that was the case to disregard the message and that their system had not updated yet. WHY WOULD YOU CALL SOMEONE ABOUT AN ACCOUNT THAT WASN’T UPDATED!!!??? I WILL NEVER USE MTN. LOAN CENTER AGAIN!!!

  3. These people are the biggest crooks that I have ever seen

These people are the biggest crooks that I have ever seen ! Late one time and your $700 loan turns into a $5000 loan my advice is forget about them they are a wart on society!!!

  4. I'm not even giving one star because these people are ripoff artists

I’m not even giving one star because these people are ripoff artists!! There’s a reason that all branches have been permanently closed!! They are scam artists that flew under the wire for the state of Utah and are getting away with continuing to scam people even though they have permanently closed!!!
