Mountain America Credit Union is ridiculous when it comes to their lending practices.

They are a very friendly bank crew just don’t let that fool you into wasting your time here.

As a social worker; I have many clients here most on limited income.

They seem to willing to hand out in-secured credit cards for $300-500 to lower income individuals (which is a good thing!!) yet when it comes to hard working individuals who make great money they seem to make lots of false promises and just deny.

Don’t waste your time with this bank and their false promises/shady lending practices.

  1. Very old technology and very disappointed.

    I choose my bank primarily on how versatile what is offered through bill pay. Recently MACU updated their bill pay and made it much more restrictive. You can not choose which account to pay your bills with. Very old technology and very disappointed.

  2. The Male employee inside points to me I suppose to tell her I was next.

    I waited patiently at the drive up window for 10 mins as I saw one of the employees was working with a gentleman inside of the branch. After being looked at by the employee and ignored I pressed the call button. The Male employee asked what I needed with a look and tone that I was bothering him. I told him I just needed to make a deposit.

    He opened the box I placed my cash, drivers license and bank card in and he closed it ,without a word he walked away and continued with the other customer he was talking to. I understood he was with another customer so I waited patiently again. 5 mins later another car pulls up next to me. Another bank teller goes to the window and helps the customer as I still wait.

    The Male employee inside points to me I suppose to tell her I was next. The female teller just smirked at me as she continued to help the other customer who pulled up 15 mins after me. Another female employee named Lisa laughed and about 5 mins later started my transaction.

    I told her that I was waiting quite some time before the other customer next to me and she chuckled and said oh sorry in an unsincere tone.

  3. Scammer

    I am being forced to take them to court to remove an account that was paid years ago… they sold me 2 types of insurance for a car and refuse to pay off the account.
