Motion Properties

Worst Company!

Horrible company! Motion Properties put unrealistic timeframes so you have to jump through hoops!

Than they installed crappy used equipment and appliances into the house after all inspections, promised they would warranty them and once again doing everything they can to make sure they don’t do it!

Horrible customer service!! Stephanie Buckley was horrible at being in contact with agent!

Took their time to ensure things were on the line and we would have to pay fines!

Worst company! Don’t use! You will regret if you do!

  1. My experience with this company was not good.

My experience with this company was not good. I hate even giving them 1 star. I am a first time home buyer & purchased my home from them which was supposedly renovated. On my walk through with them I was promised some very important things would be corrected that weren’t.

Such as paint touch ups, a new microwave that didn’t make such a horrible noise, etc. Their idea of renovating was painting over dirty cabinets, walls, and even bathtubs & windowsills. All things you unfortunately couldn’t tell until we got to cleaning the place.

Paint peeled when I wiped things down. Someone from this company still has our garage keys & we can’t get them. Our irrigation system was left defective yet we were told it worked fine & landscape installed has started to wither.

They installed new wood laminate flooring with a chunk missing at the edge of a door in the front entry. We even have roof shingles flying off when it’s windy!! It has just been a bad experience. They were quick to respond when wanting to sell & take my money but are of no help now.

  2. STAY AWAY from Motion Properties

The carpeting used in the homes is as thin as paper and will start disintegrating after a few months of use. It’s just my wife and me in the house — we do NOT have a bunch of rambunctious kids or pets tearing ass all around to shred the carpet like it has been.

Important, small details like weatherstripping around all the doors and windows, transition slats between the cheap-ass laminate floorings and cheap-ass carpet are unprofessionally installed without the proper techniques and finesse of a craftsman who takes pride in their work. Everything about their flipping renovations SCREAMS cheap, tacky and eventually an expensive mistake to fix.

And it’s not just my house; we looked at several Motion Properties because our agent recommended them (which makes me think she was on the take — Motion also required us to use their lender (Castle & C[r]ooke ) who got busted by authorities for shady practices, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they have real estate cronies as well.

STAY AWAY from Motion Properties and REALLY scrutinize the craftsmanship or any home before you buy. I learned my lesson — don’t be impressed by the cheap, superficial finish of Motion.

  3. Scammer

I bought a Motion Properties home and regret it every single day. You can tell that they use not only the cheapest materials and finishings to make a house superficially appealing but the workers they use for key parts of the house are horrendous.

I’m not joking, the quality of the craftsmanship when it comes to the “renovated” kitchen and bathrooms is atrocious! Pay very close attention to the caulking and finishings around the showers, tubs and sinks. They installed the shower door hardware backwards in the master ensuite so whenever we take a shower,

there’s a huge puddle of water on the bathroom floor. And that’s AFTER we reported that water was leaking from the master bathroom to the outside stucco during the first inspection. (Evidently their crappy workers installed the low-grade granite shower slab slanted toward the grouted [but not caulked] shower tiles the water was able to run right through their terrible tile and grouting work.)

The kitchen tile backsplash is already cracking between the grouting and the uneven patterning around the entire kitchen looks like a god damn toddler slapped it on the wall with a Fischer-Price tool set.

The granite used is discount China Town quality at best, and there is tons of messy silicone all over every slab as if the incompetent Motion Properties workers had a big glue fight after installing everything.

  4. You will regret if you do!

  5. Do NOT trust this company with your time or money.

Do NOT trust this company with your time or money. David Ortiz was the one assisting us with our property search and selling our current home and he did not follow through with what was promised. Time frames are unrealistic and just a pour quality company overall.
