The Worst Customer ServiceDavid Edmondson made this entire process extremely stressful. He was NOT informative, NOT responsive with his emails, did NOT explain any of the processes/expectations/steps, we felt out of the loop the whole time, and when we did receive responses from him it was extremely vague and unclear what was needed from us.
I would absolutely never refer him to anyone interested in buying a home.
As first time homebuyers, I would have expected a sit-down at some point to go over the process, and what we could expect moving forward.
I could not even get a phone call from David. I asked time and time again for a phone call to clarify what was needed next, or to just get on the same page, and I would just receive an email response back directing me to his website to request a phone call.
Who is the customer here? Unbelievably unprofessional.
The next part just speaks volume to the lack of communication we received from him throughout this process.
We closed on our mortgage on the Wednesday after Labor Day (and their office was closed on the Monday), I followed-up with an email to him and his team asking for the final closing figures, and any additional information they may need from us.
I received an out of office from saying he was on paternity leave.
I would totally understand in most circumstances, but the last of communication and transparency from him is remarkable.
Here we are, 2 business days away from closing on our first home, and we find out our mortgage broker is out. All we needed was a heads up.
David demonstrates the worst customer service skills I have ever encountered, he cares about the transaction and not the relationship and it is very disappointing to us.
This could have been an enjoyable process, we finally found the home of our dreams, but David’s incompetence nearly spoiled it.
