MetLife

The Most Unprofessional Organizations

MetLife Is one of the most unprofessional organizations. The only reason why I continued to give them my business is because they gave me a slightly better interest rate on my loan; but I almost can’t respect myself for sticking with such an in incompetent vendor.

Several times throughout the process I have wished I had the time in my purchase contract to jump ship and go with a more responsive and customer-oriented bank, even if it meant paying thousands of dollars more.

Metlife screwed up my GFE several times and were several days late on every single major deliverable (except of course the appraisal, which they somehow managed to overcharge me by $100).

Needless to say, less than 10% of my phone calls have ever been answered/returned and emails go without response or acknowledgement for days despite a professed urgency aligned to my tight closing schedule.

Their business practices are a joke. I’m a pretty understanding/accommodating person, but I’d sooner send a friend to a known sadistic dentist before recommending Metlife Home Loans to anyone. Try Wells Fargo first.
