I booked a cradle for my baby and was told that it would be delivered to our house in few hours. mee mee london did not have a fresh piece other than the one in the showroom, so they said they will deliver from the warehouse directly. We selected the one we wanted and paid in advance. Because, Mee Mee is a known brand, we did not bother to doubt their service. They promised that they would be sending the fresh piece.
We waited for few hours. Before it was the closing time for the shop, I called the manager to ask about the delivery. He apologized saying that the product is not available in the city and would be getting it the other day. We were so excited to put our baby in the cradle that the one day delay was enough for much disappointment.
Again, we waited the entire day and when we called they said the same thing. I got angry and asked the manager to return our money. He asked me to be calm down and said that he would be making the delivery in few hours. He did make it this time. But, as I doubted, he sent the same piece that I saw in the showroom. There were few scratches on the left side of the cradle and it was there in the one they sent.
I called him and asked him about it. He said because we wanted the cradle soon, that was the best he could have done. My husband asked me to calm down. The scratches were not too obvious and we thought that we will leave it that way.
So, the matter was closed. That is what we thought. After a week, I felt the nails were becoming lose and the cradle started shatter from one side. It became perilous and we stopped lying our baby in the cradle. We called them to fix the problem.
They promised to come the next day but as they did it earlier, they did not show up. I called them three times and they changed the date every time. After a week, I thought of taking the case in my hands. I reached the shop and talked to the manager. He said he was not informed about the problem. How can the person sitting at the reception lie about the service man coming to our place?
This was unacceptable and I asked him to send the guy with me. The manager told that the person will be coming from a different office and suggested me to reach home. I did as he said. But, they tricked me again. He did not show up.
I had to wait for 2 days more to get that guy come and look into the problem. He came and fix it. I checked that the cradle was still bent from one side. He told me not to bother. That was the design issue and can be replaced with another cradle. He also informed that this issue was faced by other customers as well and will be easily considered.
I never got any exchange and the cradle is still lying there without any use. Mee Mee can be a big brand but for us they are frauds and scammers.
