Here are a few tips of advice for people applying to a law school. First, make sure the law school is not operated in a small law office next to railroad tracks. For example, Scott McMillan , has a small law office in La Mesa, an area east of downtown San Diego. The law school, McMillan_Academy_of_Law , is run out of the small law office. In over ten years of operation the law school has NOT produced a single graduate. Yes, over ten years and NOT a single graduate. See, the required disclosure of McMillan Academy of Law , Dean Scott McMillan:
“We have had one student take the First Year Law Students’ Examination and that student passed. This is the basis for the 100% pass rate thus far. As of yet, no students have graduated from the Academy.”

The State Bar of California recently embarrassed Scott McMillan in a report,
“Since opening, only three students have ever completed MAOL’s first-year curriculum and were able to take the First Year Law Students’ Examination; two of the students eventually passed the examination but each then left MAOL and transferred to other law schools. Since MAOL has had no students nor has held any classes in almost five years, its program of legal education has now been dormant for more than four years. As a result, and as confirmed by the inspection, MAOL is noncompliant as to three material require-ments: Its law library is noncompliant since its hardcopy legal authorities have not been updated since 2013; without any tuition income, the law school’s current and future financial viability appears questiona-ble; and its website and written materials offer outdated and misleading information to both the general public and potential applicants.”
Ultimately it doesn’t matter if Dean Scott McMillan updated his law library, if you wanted to become an attorney, would you want to be the only student to have ever graduated from the famed McMillan_Academy_of_Law? This doesn’t sound like a law school, but a tax scam where the law school only exists on paper, has not produced any attorneys, and the attorney is the dean, and is also the law professor, who, while fighting a federal fraud case, will make the time to teach you the law (??!!). I know it sounds ridiculous, but so is the McMillan Academy of Law.
