I engaged Max to remove old deteriorating insulation from my garage attic. The contract specified that the this debris would be vacuum removed. The work crew arrived 1.5 hours late. I was not contacted to be alerted of the delay. I was told they’d be late after I called to find out why they had not arrived. So, I wasted 1.5 hours that morning waiting on a crew that didn’t show up on time. But they assured me they would complete the job that day. They seemed to be in a rush to get finished, so they were just throwing the old ragged insulation down the access hole into my garage. When I checked on their progress, they had a pile of this old deteriorating insulation about 5 feet high in the garage. This produced old fiberglass dust on everything in my garage, the mower, tools, walls, bikes, etc. The team of 3 men left after 1.5 hours of work for which I paid $1,999. They didn’t clean a thing. I discovered the mess after they had left, and I ended up cleaning the entire garage. Max seems very professional, and knowledgeable. His work crew however, leaves a lot to be desired. I didn’t expect I’d have to clean the entire garage after they left. I called the office and was told that they could send the crew back to clean up, but having seen their work quality and the fact that they were late, I felt I’d be better off cleaning up after them myself. The fact is, if the work had been done according to the contract process that I signed up for, namely vacuum removal of the old insulation, this problem would not have occurred. I don’t know who is at fault for this, but I did not get what I paid for.
