My family and I purchased over $10k in furniture, a guy named Fred helped us at the Alexandria Location. He tried to get us a “deal” on the furniture, but that was not enough.

We purchased the furniture back on July 3rd and have still not received our bedroom furniture and mattress. I have been getting phone calls from customer service with ETA and they keep pushing the date back! Listen to all the reviews I really wish I would’ve looked at them before buying here! DO NOT SHOP AT MARLOS! Customer service is TERRIBLE! Prices are ridiculous and takes forever to get to your home. I will definitely be asking for a refund.

  1. Marlo Furniture Is Scam.

    Beware! This is my lesson to thoroughly read reviews EVERY time. We have just realized we had a slick salesman who did not include what he said he would “throw in” and charged us for a protection plan that we did not ask for or want. In order to cancel an order,

    the customer service representative said you have to go back to the store and cancel in person and cannot cancel online or on the phone even though customer service has your invoice pulled up right in front on them.

    This store is a scam and has turned us off from all of these types of discount furniture warehouse stores. A company that cares about their reputation and customers would waive the 10% cancellation fee. Very disappointed.

    I order more then two months ago still waiting my order, keep change the date.This is my first time order from Marlowfurnitue and i heard from other people about the Marlowfurniture.They lying to customer hold your money.
    Very bad service, never order again, i will also inform to my co-worker and other friend too.

  3. "property damaged?"

    No complaints with the buying process, but the delivery experience made me 100% regret this purchase. I paid $100 for delivery, confirming with the sales rep that delivery would be to my room of choice – i.e.,

    I was upfront that I needed the sleeper sofa delivered to my basement. The sales rep assured me it would be no problem, but when the two guys arrived, they were mighty upset about that –

    with the younger, surly one even refusing to help at first, so that my brother initially had to step in to help the older, more professional one. They took a chunk of drywall from my basement ceiling, tore one of the new sofa’s pillows – i.e., managed to damage both my home AND my sofa, but had the nerve to hold their hands out for a tip as they were rushing back out the door.

    My brother was so flustered that he signed their form, but without circling yes or no to any of their “driver courteous?”, “property damaged?” questions.


    If I could give them zero stars I would. Simply the worst company to every buy furniture. Every time they’re on “sale” you could go elsewhere and find the same furniture for hundreds of dollars cheaper.

    Please look around and compare prices before buying. Ours came damaged and took them forever to replace it. In addition, their customer service is awful. They’re rude and unprofessional! Useless! WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE.

    Visited the store and had very good customer service experience , Jason Howell was very professional and curtió us , very good product knowledge and would recommend him for a good shopping experience.

  6. No one will call me back nor are they ever available when I call.

    I live in Chesapeake, Va was visiting the area went in with husband and laid on mattress that I loved. Set up payment with Acceptance Now. Paid it off in 2 weeks, the next day I get a call from Marlo saying they made a mistake and don’t deliver to Chesapeake. I told them I want my money back and to speak with the manager. No one will call me back nor are they ever available when I call.

  7. It is certainly a hit or miss situation with Marlo.

    Mr. Fashad was very nice and attentive when I originally both the furniture on February 17th but when it comes to an issue he will be very quick to disregard your matter. For a program manager that currently works on ensuring customer service is a priority and when stated we will return your call with 48 hours, it is done!

    At this time, I have YET to receive a phone call from customer service. My bedroom is currently in a mess due to the parts of the bed room set that is yet to be put together since it is missing a the front part of the bed frame.

    This will be the last time I will buy from Marlo, I prefer to give my business Havertys or Bob’s Furniture where it seems other peers had better experience.
