I have using MP Energy Services since 2012 when they installed a new hot water heater and replaced the coils on my central AC unit. Since then I have been using the company for Spring and Fall inspections of my heat and AC units. This year the technician David came to my house to inspect the AC system on April 14, 2017. Upon checking the outside AC unit he said it was not working. He said one of the fuses was burned out and sent me to a near by Home Depot for a replacement. I got 1 block from the house and he called me on my cell and told me to come back because the compressor was bad. He recommended a replacement of the AC and also the furnace because it was too old (1996). Marlon Pujol, the owner, came the following day and recommended several efficiency options for replacing both the AC unit and the furnace which he said was in good shape for its age. I contacted several heating and AC companies for estimates for the work Marlon recommended. The first company came by and replaced the fuse that was bad. The AC unit started right up and sounded quiet in its operation. They asked me if I wanted to have them evaluate the AC unit and I agreed. The unit was cooling fine and the temperature of the cooling line was perfect. They recommended using the system until it no longer works. I have been using the system in 85 degree temps and the house is perfectly comfortable. I called Marlon and he hypothesized the technician’s meter was defective. It’s possible.

    It’s no one’s fault but my own for staying so long w/MP but I recommend to anyone using MP Energy to service their heating/cooling units to allow no more than a single return service call — go elsewhere or call someone that knows how to properly install and repair Carrier units.

    Everything is good now but be beware of your first issue if MP is serving your home — the owner, Marlon P. refused to visit my home nor meet with me to help resolve a single issue a single time – not even once after 8 years of hell.

  3. M P Energy Services Is Bad Service.

    I notified BBB recently and now after of abuse, I hired an industry expert (who teaches at local union shops in this exact line of work) to view my situation and in less than 2 hours, this pro discovered the discrepancies below: That would equate to 2 hours vs. 8 winters of hell!! On a good note, MP’s first contact person, Jennifer, is the only good thing about MP – helpful, understanding and diligent.

    Once a rational person views the below results from this 2 hr. visit, it was easy to conclude that MP wasted thousands of my dollars since 2006 from ‘repeat’ service calls that were heavily based on ‘guessing’ versus really knowing the business and solving a problem – actually simple problems.

    “I ask the consultant in April to begin where MP left off, that is, the master bedroom with the usual and consistent multiple history of ‘system malfunction – call technician’ messages on the monitor.
