make an appointment
Well, where do i begin? made an appointment at LaTouche Pediatrics LLC a few weeks ago to make an appointment for my son’s four month check up and shots. just moved back up here so i made sure to ask about the billing policy while i sort out insurance stuff.
Was told there was an optional payment plan while we waited for insurance. went in today and no one had any idea of what we were talking about and was told it needed to be paid in full.
In hindsight we should have walked out after this because a doctor’s office that gives out incorrect information in unacceptable even if it in financial rather than medical information.
we were seen by dr mckinnon. during the routine questions about my pregnancy and his birth and medical history etc.
She was extremely condescending while replying to my answers. she gave outdated information. and would reply to my bf after i would answer her questions.
Before moving up here i had seen a very well regarded specialist about my son’s lip tie and she seemed very surprised about my lack of complacency and my insistence about being referred to a specialist for a second opinion after she told me his lip tie was nothing.
Never ever a good sign when a doctor gets upset when you want a second opinion.
The absolute last straw was when she tried to hold my son and he started screaming at her touch and she made a very sly little remark about my son w an impatient tone while raising her eyebrows.
Told her we wouldn’t do the vaccines there and that i would take my son to a pediatrician i trusted.
hope this review was useful to parents doing research. won’t ever bring my son here again.
