Knoble Moving

This experience has been a huge stress on my family during an already difficult

We unfortunately had a terrible experience with Knoble Moving. There have been a few negative reviews posted in July (after our move!).  I wish we’d seen them before so we could avoided all of the heartbreak of having irreplaceable furniture and jewelry destroyed and lost.   we never would have used Knoble. Here is a quick run down of the pros and cons so you can decide for yourself.
-On time pickup and delivery
-Repaired a couple of pieces of the damaged furniture
-Destroyed a bookshelf (stepped on by mover) and glass case (dropped by mover)
-Damaged an antique credenza, coffee table, and storage unit (all scraped while unwrapped in truck), an antique rocking chair (packed a sharp wooden object on top of it), and an expensive lamp (unwrapped at the bottom of a box with many of my daughter’s toys).
-A box containing all of my daughter’s clothes and some jewelry (including a bracelet given my daughter’s great grandmother shortly before she passed away) was lost or stolen during the move.
-Perhaps most frustratingly, Knoble refused to speak with us after the move.  They deliberately avoided our calls and won’t even respond to our insurance claim for the lost items (they refuse to even deny the claim – they’re literally just ignoring me).

This experience has been a huge stress on my family during an already difficult time.  I can’t recommend avoiding this company enough.

4 reviews on Knoble Moving

Knoble moving company and it’s owner Kevin Cowan should not be trusted. The company is unreliable and unprofessional. You would be lucky if the possessions you entrust to them are received in the condition you left them. Do yourself a favor and read the many reviews lamenting what happens when Knoble is hired.

Save yourself, save your money and protect your belongings by finding a reputable, trustworthy and insured moving company you do NOT want to work with Kevin or Knoble moving company. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

  2. Very affordable. Highly recommend.

These guys were recommended to me by two of my closest friends. They came to move three shelves weighing between 150 and 300 lbs each. Since I bought the furniture on craigslist, I had to have them come to the sellers’ house. They were prompt, quick, and effective.

The furniture seller’s were pleased. They trekked these three pieces of furniture 5 miles across town and up to my 5th floor apartment and even helped me set it up in under 2 hours. Very affordable. Highly recommend.

  3. I would definitely use Knoble again.

After pricing several movers for moving my son from Columbia Heights to The Southwest Waterfront, Knoble was by far the most reasonable. I emailed Kevin and he was prompt with responding to my emails and answering all my questions.

We received a confirmation email and phone call prior to the move. On the day of the move, Kevin and his teammate arrived on time and started to work. They had the move completed ( protected, loaded, unloaded at the new place) in 2 hours. They were awesome in every aspect. I would definitely use Knoble again.

  4. If you're moving in DC I strongly suggest Knoble!

The guys from Knoble were great. On time, worked hard, took great care of my stuff and incredibly nice. If you’re moving in DC I strongly suggest Knoble!
