King Financial Group

Our Experience Was Beyond Horrific

King Financial Group came highly recommended from a Realtor friend who had used them many times before.

Our experience was beyond horrific. The origination fees were astronomical.

When we questioned this after receiving the Good Faith Estimate, we were told not to worry about it – that the fees were inflated, did not reflect credits that would be issued, and would not be that high at closing.

We trusted them to our detriment and ended up paying $5700 in fees when we could have gone through another lender for a fraction of that.

We WOULD have pulled out and used someone else, had it not been for the domino effect it would have had on our seller (a friend) and closing date affecting getting my kids into a new ISD.

Communication went from poor to combative when we asked for the promised credits.

Mistakes were made at closing and we had to come up with even more money the day after closing in order for everything to fund.

Since the mistakes were not our fault, we were already paying an outrageous amount in origination fees, and we were generally just unhappy with our entire experience, we asked the vice president to cover it as a credit (which we had been promised and did not receive).

We were told that since it was clear nothing they did was going to make us happy, he would not give us any kind of a credit.

We never got anything other than a “sorry” for the shoddy service, and were accused of being the problem. No responsibility was taken for anything.

Look – if I like a business, I tell the world and refer a crowd of people to it Ask my hairdresser, nail salon, and the managers of Frescos and Clothes Mentor how many of their customers came in because I would not shut up about how awesome they are.

Trust me on this one. Let our loss be your gain. Call Robin Smith at Cornerstone Lending if you are looking for a mortgage lender. Do NOT use these people.

  1. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for financing!

My wife and I used King Financial Group recently when we refinanced our home. Alex was such a pleasure to work with. He previously went through two failed attempts (on our part, not his) to purchase a new home.

He stuck with us (very patiently) and eventually helped us in refinancing and staying in our current home. The whole team was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for financing!

  2. I highly highly highly recommend these guys

I highly highly highly recommend these guys. They were just simply amazing. We were on vacation, and we were still able to get an approval and close on a house.

Out of many, one of the best thing I liked, while working with King Financial Group, is the communication that was provided to us and step by step updates. Thank you so much for helping us with our house, and helping us even after closing and answering any questions. Not that many companies/people do that which is a really a plus.
