Recently, I met Ken Collis while I was trying to figure out a way to make an initiative towards aggressive marketing. Ken Collis from TLK Fusion has got an amazing online profile and that was the first impression I had after looking at his website. Ken Collis has done a great job in flaunting about his work and it looks so real. But, the experience I had was totally opposite.
Ken Collis promises for utmost satisfaction. He has got some reviews on the internet which sing his praises. But, after few first pages of results, his true work is obvious. There are many complaints against the services he provides to his clients. I was the unlucky one to see those reviews after I already paid him.
It was in the month of January when I decided to do something for my business. It was struggling and when I found out that the problem stays with the marketing of the products, I decided to outsource my marketing work to an expert. Little did I know that these so called experts from Ken’s company are just some naïve employees who know nothing.
We did the agreement and their consultant started visiting our company to know about the products and services and how we want to proceed including our goals and visions. At first, I though he was a good listener, but he knew nothing. All the knowledge sharing that we did, went into bin.
After 15 days, while we paid for his lunch and other amenities, he just left. I demanded for a report. This is what he should have done after analysing what we require and how they plan to take this further.
However, when I started pressurising Ken Collis, he did send me a report. I felt as if it was copied and pasted from the web. Some kind of generic report. We gave that person all the information related to our mid term as well as yearly profits. I also suggested few things and he just nodded as if they were of some help.
But when the reports came, I was stunned. There was nothing that I planned with the consultant. It was just a generic plan about the phases of marketing not including even the strategies that they wanted to employ. I got furious and understood that they knew nothing.
When I asked for an explanation and wanted the consultant who visited us to be included in the meeting list, I was given a date that was 15 days later.
I still waited. They redid the plan and proposed a report for marketing strategies. These guys are stupid and more than that, culprits for keeping clients in dark. The strategies were what I demanded for. The ones that I outlined were missing. There was nothing from their end.
I cancelled the agreement and now waiting for them to refund the amount at least some of it. I do agree that companies like these do not work on ethics. But, I will go any far to make Ken Collis pay for this fraud.
