This Guy Is A Failure As A Broker

Writing from the perspective of someone who was interested in a listing from Keller Williams NYC (specifically the broker Chen Mishael).

Wow, for someone representing a listing that had been listed for 50+ days by the time I came around, this broker had no clue about this listing and didn’t seem interested in selling this place.

I feel bad for the owner he is representing, as he’s done nothing to try to get this place off the market.

When I asked who the telecom provider was, he said, “All of them” (absolute lie).

Where in the world can you choose which cable/internet/phone provider you can use?!

The place had been nicely renovated, but there were still some random things incomplete, like missing outlet covers, broken concrete around a drain, etc.

This guy had no answers for me and had to get back to me about everything, like it was his first day on the job.

We did some negotiations but each time we agreed verbally to a negotiation point, later on he’d come back with the original point and act clueless to our negotiations.

This guy is a failure as a broker, so if you are going to work with this company, definitely do not go with this specific broker.

Your place is not going to move!

  1. We cannot recommend him enough!

Jonathan McKesten is the real deal! My boyfriend and I were moving from Florida and only had a few days in the city to find a place. Given our unique situation, being new to the crazy NYC real estate market, and being on a time crunch, we were pretty overwhelmed.

Luckily for us, we had the pleasure of meeting and working with Jon, who went above and beyond to help us. He was incredibly knowledgeable on the neighborhood we were looking in (East Village).

He had information on specific buildings, rental companies, application processes, etc. He even broke down the NYC market as a whole for us as well so that we understood all the lingo/quirks.

And on top of his knowledge and helpfulness, he was great at communicating and was always honest, upfront, and punctual. We anticipate to move at least a few more times in NYC and will use Jon every time. We cannot recommend him enough!

  2. I couldn't have imagined this process without him!

I was so fortunate to work with Thomas Hollingsworth at Keller Williams NYC for my recent purchase in a co-op building in NYC. As a first time homebuyer, Thomas helped me to make informed decisions and I benefited from his extensive expertise throughout the entire process.

Thomas was always working to keep the process moving forward, all while keeping me informed every step of the way. He left no question unanswered and was a true advocate for me in getting the deal done. Thomas was personable and easy to work with — I couldn’t have imagined this process without him!
