There was a review of Joshua S. Brower work by Iowa Dental Board and he was charged with negligence and not following the standards of competency in the practice of dentistry. Dr. Joshua S. Brower DDS is a dentist and have been practicing his profession from a long time.
As per the Iowa Code of conduct, Dr. Joshua S. Brower failed to follow the disciplinary methods and led himself into this questionable situation.
There had been continuous complaints for Dr. Joshua S. Brower by his patients which led the Iowa board to inspect the entire matter.
Dr. Joshua S. Brower DDS, A Le Mars Dentist, decided to settle this down and signed a settlement agreement. This agreement was approved on 27th June and was accepted by the IOWA Dental Board.
According to this settlement, Dr. Joshua S. Brower shared his plans to leave Le Mars office forever. He said that he would be shifting to South Dakota. He also agreed to put his dental license to “Inactive Status” and paid $7500 as fine amount to the IOWA Dental Board.
The hearing was done in March and the board reviewed 4 cases that was brought to the notice and checked for their authenticity. Three among the four cases were deemed to be right.
The board considered the matter and concluded that the care he provided did not meet the standards of dental practice.
Although, after the settlement, the issue was closed and declared as resolved. Dr. Joshua S. Brower accepted all the consequences and did not try to mislead the board.
The dentists of the board also suggested that, in any case, if Dr. Joshua S. Brower would want to return to practice in Iowa, it would happen after the board will set the requirements. In addition, his licence will be under probation for 5 years.
He will also have to pass the comprehensive clinical skills assessment in prosthodontics and endodontics, i he wishes to return.
All these were mentioned in the agreement and Dr. Joshua S. Brower even agreed to the surprise visits and reviews.
