Jon Byler – Opes Advisors

Stay Away From Jon Byler

People who want a decent mortgage banker needs to stay away from Jon Byler, who used to work at GMAC but joined Everbank in 2013.

I don’t have anything negative to say about Everbank itself. This review is specifically for this incompetent person.

This guy is the quintessential example of how a bad mortgage banker can ruin your deal.

He pays no attention to details,  flakes out of appointments time and again, sometimes even at the last minute when I already showed up in person, he suddendely he claimed he had an “important meeting” somewhere else  and asked for a low level incompetent assistant to take care of the meeting who knows nothing about me or the process.

It’ was such as a frustrating experience to deal with a flaky person like that I decided to ultimately go elsewhere.

Thanks to him messing up my paperwork, I lost a great opportunity to submit a timely offer for my dream home.

His excuse: I’m just too busy, I have other important customers to work with.

Yes, we know you have people with fatter pocket to chase after, but that does not give you the right to ignore basic professional decency?

Less than 2 weeks later I was moved into my new house and am forever grateful I found Jon Byler.

Jon Byler was recommended to me when my “out-of-the-box” loan got denied by the preferred lender (who previously pre-approved me!) 8 days before walk-through on my new home.

He is extremely knowledgeable in his profession and truly cares about his clients (which is combination you want, but don’t always find). From the first day I talked to him, he under-promised and over-delivered. Less than 2 weeks later I was moved into my new house and am forever grateful I found Jon Byler.
