Joe Adams – State Farm Insura...

Communication Isn't Their Strong Suit

Where to start here… First, let me say that I used Joe Adams State Farm the first time I lived in Colorado and had a great experience.

I left for a few years and moved back and obviously went back to what worked before.

At the time and when I came back, Brian was my point of contact and he was exceptional.

I always got prompt responses and things were great.

Unfortunately, it seems as though Brian was the glue that held this office together. He left sometime this summer to go elsewhere.

The first issue started earlier this summer when my marina required me to add them as an insured party on my boat policy.

I called their number and it was after they closed and I was redirected to the corporate support center.

I made the request and was told it would be passed along to the local office and someone would contact me.

I got that call a MONTH later. I explained to the person who contacted me this was unacceptable.

Last month, I received notice from State Farm in the form of a letter telling me my policy was going to be canceled due to non-payment.

I immediately called and updated my credit card on file as the old one had changed numbers. I was told everything was good.

I found out after driving around town for customer meetings earlier this week that for whatever reason the card didn’t get charged and my policy was no longer in force.

When I say my policy, I mean a boat policy, a car policy and my umbrella. Where is my agent here? Why is it that my insurance agent is calling me AFTER the policy has been cancelled.

I’m not willing to put myself at risk to be running around without insurance. I have too much to lose.

When I called the office yesterday morning, I explained how frustrated I was and that I’d like to speak with Joe.

After explaining I’m going to be leaving them all together and going to a different agent, I expected a call back.

Follow up and communication isn’t their strong suit, clearly, and nobody called me. I’m done. Apparently they don’t need my business.

1 Review on Joe Adams – State Farm Insurance Agent

  1. In the process of dealing with Joe Adams for almost 1 month now and we have gone back and forth 2-3 times now. They initially started at ~$3k to fix our 2016 Honda Pilot. Lowball of course, just like any insurance agency. No problem. My body shop makes them somewhat honest at that point, and we get to ~$8k after a ton of back and forth. Lo and behold we are almost 30 days into my claim, and State Farm’s stance is to pay only 90% of the claim, have me go $2,000 out of pocket, when I am paying my monthly dues, and $500.00 deductible already.

State Farm is the worst at this point, and I can only get anything done with these guys if I stay diligent on their constant efforts to say call the 1-800 auto claims number, no you need to talk to your agent, then call your agent, then call the number. There is a trend with Joe Adams in that they try to thieve you out of paying $1,500 of which they should be paying after I pay the $500.00 deductible + my monthly premiums. I plan on posting here, making updates, on Yelp, and any other review site for this agency until State Farm lives up to their contract with me and to cover the full claim.

Currently, State Farm is advising to cut into the frame of my car and to cut corners and that is what they want to pay for. If that would fix the issue no problem. However, that voids the body shop warranty; and that voids my warranty with Honda.

We can either be civil about this Joe Adams and you can live up to what is covered legally on my policy minus my $500 deductible, or you can be shady. I also like that you guys are acting like this the day before Thanksgiving. Now they won’t even send me my full auto insurance policy to see what they are legally obligated to cover as per the details of the policy. This behavior is not even professional, it is shady, they keep giving me the run-around. This is nearly a Ponzi scheme at this point.

Upon the legal handling of this claim minus the $500 deductible I will happily take this review down. Not trying to badger you guys, but this is the only option that you are giving me at this point since you guys are trying to make me pay more money out of my own pocket for which my insurance is legally obligated to cover. You have my email, you have my number. Stop wasting my time, and fix my car properly. I don’t want my car 2-3 years down the road to have cracked paint on 1/2 of my vehicle because you guys want to cut corners, cut into the frame of my car, instead of doing the job properly.
