Inverness Dermatology & Laser

Extremely disappointed

Dr. Jacobsen is the worst bedside manner I have ever seen.

After waiting for a month, I was greeted by a woman in a bad mood.

She immediately cut on me and refused to listen to my problem.

After explaining that I wasn’t there for a procedure, she stormed out of her room and threw things on the table.

She left her assistant and me with our jaws dropping open in disbelief.

Worst of all, she charged my insurance for doing absolutely nothing and then sent me a bill! BEWARE!

  1. I did--and I am no longer a patient here.

While I do not doubt the competence of the dermatologists at this clinic (they have removed many of my moles), I have never appreciated the way they have treated and cared for me. Doctors here have told me, more than once, “Wow! There are a lot of moles! This is unprofessional. ).
Their treatment methods are a little more aggressive than other dermatologists that I’ve seen. While I don’t recommend avoiding this clinic, if you aren’t satisfied with what you hear, you can always seek out another opinion. I did, and I’m no longer a patient there.

  2. Cannot recommend enough.

It was a wonderful visit—the first-time customer. Call to make an appointment for 12/26. Within 15 minutes, I was in and out. The staff was amiable. Excellent office. I cannot recommend this office enough.

  3. Great Dr's, but staff is difficult! Regular patient of this group for several yrs.

Excellent Drs. But the staff is hard! This group has been a regular patient for many years. Expect a long wait for your first visit. Parking is difficult due to the new construction in the area. The phone is not possible. It can only be reached via e-mail. Importantly, if you’re ever told that you have a “credit balance on your account,” make sure to get it in writing. Staff will not be able to verify it verbally and may deny it.

  4. Don't go here unless you want to wait an hour to be seen.

If you don’t want to wait for an hour, do not go to this place. Multiple times I was forced to wait for at least 40 minutes. They are terrible at being considerate of the time of patients. While I could understand in ten minutes, I’ve delayed over an hour for the same thing. This is why I moved to another dermatologist who values their patients’ time.
