Independence Park Medical Services
It would be very hard for me to ever again recommend IPMSAfter having been a patient at Independence Park Medical Services for at least 25 years, I was forced to retire due to medical issues. Without insurance, the whole experience changed since I could not be a cash up front patient.
I used to be able to get an appointment in a day or two.Now I am put on hold, then told first available appointment is 15 days away.
My prior appointment took 2-1/2 hours, but doctor was seen maybe a total of 6 minutes.
After an x-ray and prescription given, I was dismissed. I said “aren’t you going to irrigate my ears?” Had gone in with blocked, painful ears.
Reply was “no.” Long pause. Then he said “maybe sometime in the future.” I was in shock and speechless.
Fortunately, I was able to get ears taken care of same day at a different facility.
I have felt for a year now that I was not welcome here, yet apparently this doctor could not come out and say so.
I called for a prescription refill and was told I needed to see doctor due to new rules that included this drug.
I was not born yesterday and this drug is not included in the new rules.
I was lied to by another doctor here that I have seen for a long time for skin issues also and that surprised me.
I thought he was a more honorable and genuine man. The treatment by my primary care doctor no longer surprises me.
The office staff lies to me, probably at doctor’s direction.
So, all things considered, it would be very hard for me to ever again recommend IPMS.
I ended up at the Mayo Clinic thanks to Dr. Myriam Nolte from Hillside Family Medicine and doing better finally!
My experience with Ind. Park Medical Center was HORRIFIC to say the least. Dr. Christensen did not know what was going on with me, every time I went to see him he will diagnose it as “another cold”, leave it untreated. He was not compassionate, impersonal and in a Hurry.
He will recommend going to the ER instead of scheduling an appointment with him (?) I am Hispanic so I do not know if that had to do anything with his decision. I ended up at the Mayo Clinic thanks to Dr. Myriam Nolte from Hillside Family Medicine and doing better finally!
