Hayes Valley Medical & Esthetic...

Not the Best

This place is ok, they will give you the treatments you’re looking for, but they are really not the best. I did a really painful session of IPL and no one even told me that i could have had numbing cream or offered it to me when i booked the appointment.

Price wise you can get the same services from an excellent board certified plastic surgeon without the hassle of being treated like you’re at Starbucks (like Dr. Fan at 77 Plastic Surgery literally a block away and his office is much more informative, personal, and professional).

  1. If I could go weekly to see her I would.

I’ve been going to Hayes Valley Med for over 3 years now, I get my Venus legacy body contouring and Venus viva treatments for my face and these keep me feeling and looking really good.

Denise always does my laser hair removal and she is my favorite nurse to see here. She’s so funny and always makes me feel comfortable, even when I am in a compromising position 😉

Denise has done my botox also and has never failed me. If I could go weekly to see her I would.

  2. I wouldn't recommend this location considering the level of unprofessionalism.

I went in to Hayes Valley medical and esthetics for a consultation with Thena regarding botox for my forehead area. My goal was to achieve a wrinkle free forehead. As she examined my face she suggested I do 2 syringes of filler to achieve the look she finds fitting for my age and it’s also supposed to last longer than botox.

She stated 1 syringe to achieve a wrinkle-free forehead and 1 syringe for my cheekbones (which I don’t understand why she even suggested considering I was only consulting about my forehead wrinkles) But either way I assumed I could trust her medical background and I decided to try it.

I immediately noticed the filler did nothing for to reduce my wrinkles, in fact almost a week and half later I notice I have two lumps from where she injected the filler and the wrinkles are still visible. She stated I would be “wow’d” in a couple days when it settles in.

I’m unsatisfied with the results considering it did nothing for me as she suggested it would. Before writing this review I attempted to contact Thena twice on the Monday she was working and the front desk lady named Erika kept shutting the call down by saying Thena will get back to me on her lunch then the second time she said she’d get back to me when she’s done with her appointments…

its been 4 days since I’ve made those calls and no one has attempted to contact me in regards to finding a solution for my unpleasant and unprofessional experience with Thena. Really upsetting, I wouldn’t recommend this location considering the level of unprofessionalism.
